While I’m grateful Autumn has just graced us with her presence here in humid Brisbane (Australia), it will definitely not be anywhere near as magical as the photos you’re about to witness below. A genius team in Madrid has brought us an inspired shoot based around this picturesque season and the idea of having a wedding day that’s all about you.
The bride’s ensemble is extraordinarily gorgeous – a lace gown with cut-outs, glittery high heels and an intricate headpiece. The groom looks stylishly suave in his charcoal suit with purple patterned tie. I’m besotted with the small reception set-up – the table for two is a rustic dream decorated with fresh florals, orange pumpkins, gold candlesticks and mismatched vintage china. There are so many concepts within the images that are simple but oh-so-effective including the wall of Autumn leaves, the use of the lake and its cute stepping stones and framing the lovebirds in dusk’s soft light. My favourite pictures of the bunch are of the content newlyweds surrounded by clusters of glowing candles – what a romantic way to end such a joyful and intimate day.
Thank you for these dramatic and inspiring photographs, Natalia Ibarra Photography.
“Autumn in Madrid. That afternoon, Jimena and Lucas were strolling through the Barrio de las Letras district separately. It was their destiny to meet each other and both felt a connection. That chemistry that surpasses anything else.
Before autumn came again, Lucas asked Jimena to marry him. That very autumn, so full of meaning. That love so real made them understand the true essence of what a Slow Wedding was. No rules, no formalities. That day was only theirs.”
