Wait for it, I have a sensational autumn gold wedding filled with sequins, warmth and a ton of love too. It’s time to share WWW readers Sophy (AKA wedding stylist Sophy Elena) and Jason’s autumnal extravaganza!
As you will see from these gorgeous images, they had two weddings. The first a small stylish affair in September, with a cute green gown, dried flowers bouquet and relaxed suit.
The second was a greenhouse wedding at West Green House in Hampshire in October. It was unbelievably stunning, with opulent flowers, cosy candlelight and some seriously epic attire. Just wait until you see Sophy’s gold sequin autumn wedding gown and Jason’s country-look, so so stylish!
Oh and you are going to love the feast put together by WWW wedding supplier Berry and Brie.
Rebecca Love Photo, thank you so much for sharing these incredible images. I will leave you to check out their full story for yourselves, I promise it’s a goody.

I’d pointed out a ring in the antique jewellers in our village about 8 months previously. One day we decided to visit West Green House gardens, which was only up the road, we loved it. When we wandered into the greenhouse with our coffee and cake, we both fell in love with the space, and in that moment I saw a wedding vision in my head!
The following week Jason proposed on one knee in the living room – just as I was about to get in the shower – with the same ring from the antique jewellers! It had been burning a hole in his pocket and he couldn’t wait! That’s very Jason, so it was perfect.
The vision was inspired by the greenhouse and our favourite season of Autumn. Our birthdays are the 3rd and 7th October so we already knew it would be an October wedding. We opted for Friday 1st October instead of Saturday 2nd, even though it was free because we liked that it was the 1st of the month. Thank god we did because Saturday the 2nd poured down with rain all day!
Jason will admit to letting me do my thing when it came to styling, it’s not his thing at all, but we both chose for it to be a fun and personalised day with close family and friends.

West Green House (Greenhouse)
Jason chose his own suit relatively early on, so it kind of played a part in the styling inspo! He loves checks and the country-style look and I must say he looked really dapper! I loved his choice, my Dad and Jason’s sons wore the same suit which was lovely.
Jason accessorised his suit with burgundy shoes, matching tie and pocket square and the others had tan shoes and pocket square, no tie. (that was my styling input ;))
I knew I wanted something different, I’m a little quirky with my dress sense so I was looking at either dark red or gold, gold being my favourite colour.
I ended up down a rabbit hole of evening gowns online, it was here I found lots of inspiring gowns, with a lot more choice of the style and taste I preferred over traditional wedding dresses.
I found this beautiful golden number, I kept going back to it and in the end took a gamble and bought it online. Buying online had its challenges, I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s from Etsy or something similar where you have the communication. It was worth it in the end ☺
Also, a year on I wouldn’t choose to have something imported, I would have opted for a second-hand dress or local supplier. I’m more and more conscious of making planet-friendly choices, especially as I start out in this business.

Rebecca Love
Rebecca used to fly for Virgin, which is how our paths crossed. I wanted to support some small crew businesses, especially due to all the pandemic job losses. We got in touch with Rebecca and she was so lovely we booked her!
Rebecca was really accommodating by letting us use the engagement shoot part of our package on our legal ceremony day. I’m so glad because we LOVE these photos ☺
My make-up artist Sophie was also ex Virgin crew, we did a few great Vegas trips together so it was really nice to reconnect with her and she also knew a few of my friends when they turned up. It was like a Virgin reunion at times!

The ceremony was at 3pm and the guests arrived at 14:15 in the ‘Fun Bus’. The DJ was already set up, spinning the tunes and champagne welcome drinks were flowing. Everyone was in great spirits!
I walked down the aisle to Surf de Mesa, I love you baby and I got lots of ‘Woops’ and ‘Yays” entering the greenhouse with my dad. This started the laughs off and made for the relaxed and fun ambience we wanted.
We were very lucky to have my cousin as our celebrant, providing a beautiful service, involving the guests at times. We wrote our own vows and these went down well, it was a really warm and loving atmosphere. We headed out for the confetti shot to “Ain’t no stopping us now”. The music continued throughout the wedding breakfast and reception. Just brilliant, a party from start to finish.

The styling was done by myself.
I knew I wanted to work with autumnal shades of burnt orange, mustard, greens and dark reds, with gold of course 😉
It evolved from there with the venue predominately in mind. When we got our outfits, which was quite early on, it evolved even more and I decided the glamourous, yet natural olde world feel would really suit us and our day. I call it Organic Opulence!
I did all the flowers myself and my sister did all the signs by writing on second-hand mirrors we bought.
My friend Helen, who also came to the wedding runs a family bakery and she made us our delicious cake. My sisters decorated it at the venue for us.
My friend Anna and her soon to be husband Alastair were god-sends and acted as our on the day co-ordinators, getting there early to finish setting up. As a stylist with a specific vision, it was torturous not being able to finish decorating the venue. I just had to roll with it!

A beautiful 3 night stay in a double, luxury Shepherds hut, at Dimpseys Glamping in Somerset. It was perfect. Since booking it we’ve got a puppy called Missy, so we were glad we chose to a short mini moon over a holiday abroad. We love the UK and what it has to offer.
For Jason, it was the first look at me coming down the aisle. He loved that moment.
For me, it was my dad’s first look at me – that was really emotional and special moment as you can see from the pic!
We both loved the first dance to Chaka Khan, Ain’t Nobody. After about 30 secs we got everyone else up. At the end of the night it was the last song played and everyone danced together singing our heads off. Bloody brilliant!
If you are DIY, especially with a dry hire venue, be sure to really understand the wedding planning process before booking any suppliers. You’ll be left to your own devices and might hit a few un-anticipated obstacles if you don’t!
Have an earlier ceremony if you can. If we had our day again we’d start at midday, it was over waaaaay too quickly, we ended up going to a pub for late drinks afterwards before going back to the hotel!
If you can afford a stylist, do it. It’ll be a time-saving and stress-free investment!
Sophy and Jason thanks ever so much for sharing your showstopping autumn gold wedding story with us. Such a joy!
