Ready for the ever so stylish Sicilian inspired Heath Farm wedding of Leon and Talima? Great, let’s begin.
Their day was a beautiful fusion of their Italian and Ghanaian heritage, complete with fresh flowers and a gorgeous ceremony at Normanton Church in Rutland.
Talima looked incredible in her stunning gown by WWW wedding supplier Lisa Lyons Bridal. Completing her look with a modern hair band, red lippy and Kente. Beautiful! Leon meanwhile was suited and booted in a dapper tuxedo while their bridesmaids wore long sleeve dresses.
Thanks ever so much to Alexandra Wallace Photography for sharing these joyful shots with us, which I am sure you are going to just adore.
There was a Sicilian theme – used touches such as fresh lemons (with the stalk), limoncello cocktails and olive branches.
It was rustic and fresh, with colours keeping to white and green – wanted it all to feel Mediterranean.

Heath Farm – Jemma was so accommodating and positive. The venue was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. She also was very helpful with contacts for other suppliers and helped us navigate the COVID rules to ensure our day went ahead safely.
Element Events Uk (marquees) – Peri and his team were really reassuring and explained everything clearly so we knew what to expect in the day. They made everything come together with the marquee and market lights in the courtyard, the chairs, tables and cushions. Great service.

Alexandra Wallace Wedding Photographer – Alex took my preference of candid photos on board, she captured so many happy moments and truly got the vibe of the day through her photos. She was a pleasure, making sure to involve everyone.

I wanted to celebrate my Ghanaian heritage without obscuring the theme, so I wore cloth called Kente on my shoulder and my bridesmaids carried fans made from Ankara fabric. I feel like the Italian Ghanaian fusion was unique in itself.
The Boho Bridal (Michaela) – she was a calm energy in the morning when I was so anxious. She had great attention to detail and really listened to what I wanted my makeup to look like.
I had originally booked someone else but after a bad trial, I was nervous about getting my makeup done professionally. Michaela was patient and really listened to me, and fit me in last minute on the day of the wedding.

Sunflower Spalding Ltd. – this is a cash and carry for flowers. They were brilliant in sourcing everything I wanted, including the lemons. Super helpful and great flowers and greenery, for so cheap!

19/29 Agency – the bar service were amazing! They made us some delicious cocktails using limoncello. Not only that, we booked them to serve at a bar but they ended up serving everyone drinks upon arrival, at the tables during the speeches and wedding breakfast and they helped clear the tables for the dance area. They went above and beyond!

Weddings are always a great occasion to celebrate and have fun. But what made ours truly unique was that it was the first time everyone could come together for large events since the pandemic broke out.
Our wedding had been delayed from 2020 to 2021, so all our family and friends were ecstatic that we were finally able to get married; everyone’s hearts were filled with so much joy and love.

Goodness, what a gorgeous celebration indeed!
Leon and Talima thank you so much for sharing your stunning Heath Farm wedding story with us.
