I have a real treat for you {www}er’s today. I was super excited when the lovely Natalie Briggs ~ Luxury Homemade Garters contacted me. It’s great to see new up and coming wedding vendors bringing out personal, homemade and quality yet stylish wedding items.
These gorgeous garters are lovingly made by Natalie and have a gorgeous glamorous vintage vibe to them. Natalie is based in Australia but her designs can be purchased worldwide from her fabulous Etsy store. She can also create custom items to order and prices are very reasonable!! Hurrah!! Anyway let’s meet the lovely Natalie and see some of her gorgeous creations….
{w} Hi Natalie, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?
I am recently married to my beautiful husband here in Western Australia. I love arts and crafts and dragging my supportive husband to craft fairs.
{w} What do you love/dislike about your job?
Hearing the lovely comments from my brides once they receive their garter, saying how much more beautiful their garter set looks in person than online and how happy they are they ordered from my shop. That makes me feel like I’m doing something really meaningful and great that so many brides love my designs!
{w} How did you get into your business and into the wedding industry?
After my own wedding in March 2010, i was disappointed in the lack of range of bridal garters in the bridal stores. Most of the ones i came across looked like they were designed in the 80’s! Were cheaply made, mass produced and very uninspiring. So i thought well this can’t go on, i can make bridal garters that are sexy modern and very elegant and that’s when the label Natalie Briggs- Luxury Handmade Garters began and its been growing from strength to strength every day.
{w} What do you aim to achieve for your clients?
My aim with my clients is to create for them a quality unique bridal garter set that is handmade by me. I put a lot of work and time into my garters to produce the best result and i stand behind every garter i make. There is no room for tacky bridal garters in my store! I want to reinvent the bridal garter and make it a popular addition to brides to be wedding lingerie. I also love working with brides to be to make a customs made garter in their wedding colours or style to make a completely unique accessory for their special wedding day.
{w} What style are your garters?
My bridal Garter Sets are Modern, Sexy, Elegant and all have a little element of vintage chic thrown in to make a truly unique bridal garter for every bride.
{w} Could you tell us some information about your garter pricing?
In my store, unlike many other stores, i try to keep my prices as low as possible as weddings can be a very expensive affair. My garters range from USD$6 up to USD$55. The prices depend on the materials used and the time it take me to ship them. My shipping costs range from USD$1.90 to USD$5.90 depending on where you live. I only believe in only charging what it costs me to package and post your garter, nothing more. All of my garter sets come beautifully gift wrapped to keepsake your garter or to give to a bride to be as a gift (this is very popular).
{w} Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding suppliers?
My advice to selecting suppliers is to get their past customers feedback. A supplier can promise you the world but unless you can see they can deliver that’s all worthless. I wish i had got some feedback for my hair/makeup artist i used for my wedding day. She was ok at the trial, i loved it! But one the wedding day she couldn’t remember how she did my hair and makeup, so i ended up with something completely different. Another tip then, always take your own photos at trials as my hair/makeup lady lost hers.
{w} How can we get in touch with you?
You can visit my online store at www.nataliebriggs.etsy.com to look at my range. You can contact me on their or email me at nataliebriggs@live.com.au and I’ll always get back to you within 24hours.
Thanks so much to Natalie for sharing her gorgeous work – be sure to check out her Etsy store for more of her beautiful work.
