More than ever we’ve turned to the skies and dreamt of brighter days. So I really love this interstellar wedding ideas editorial I have to share with you today, it’s full of creative celestial ideas and fantastic suppliers that have come together to create something very special indeed.
I was also really happy to see awesome Supplier Love member Shropshire Petals‘ confetti featured today 🎉, doesn’t it look gorgeous in that candid and happy confetti throw? Hooray!
What else do I love about this shoot shot by Doriane Descamps Photography and planned by The Italian Dream Weddings and Events? Well, the moon phase cake looked so cool, the picnic set up was super romantic and there were seriously cool outfits too. You are going to love it all folks.

The pitch for this shoot is the development of a celestial-themed elopement for a young and wild at heart couple who wants to break the rules and live their day their way.
The colour palette is mainly a dualism of white and black, with the groom in total black in contrast with the bride in total white – like in yin yang, where opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary.
In that way, the wedding may be understood as the path of union between the solar and lunar energies towards the reach of a balance, which is the life within the new family.

I would like to focus on fun and freedom on this shoot – we definitely need this as we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
And so our interstellar connection is born – a celestial bride rocking her shiny starry headband and her calligraphed leather jacket while waving her bouquet in the air from a Volkswagen Beetle showing the sky she finally said forever to the love with her other half is just the perfect image of representing our inspirational shoot.

As wedding picnics – alongside the elopement weddings – are becoming more and more popular as they totally focus on the intimate, romantic and rule less union of the couple itself, I opted for this new bold type of table setting for this love celebration.
Celestial touches have been added to the context in order to give the setting a mystical and magical touch – the wedding cake mimics the lunar phases while on-theme treats feature marble celestial elements.
The result is a couple that sparks romance in a very playful and iconic way, with their hint of glamour in a total wild outdoor space – my advice towards a very personal and bespoke kind of wedding that doesn’t include any planning stress but that wants to purely focus on the emotion of the big day.
