It’s time to share Chloe and Toby’s “best day ever” complete with a stunning iridescent wedding dress.
Yes, that’s right, we’re in Devon at Tapeley Park to be precise for their pastel wedding of dreams.
It’s amazing that their day came in at around £6000, I am sure you’ll agree. Especially when you see Chloe’s incredible iridescent sequin wedding dress, Bardot by Temperley London, the prettiest dried florals by WWW wedding supplier Horseshoe Flowers and the whimsical barn decor.
Their day is also going to prove that rainy wedding weather will not dampen your day, do read on to find out what happened during their ceremony.
Grace Elizabeth Photography has kindly sent over these sensational images, every single one of which is gorgeous!

Central Park – New York – Christmas ice skating rink – December 2018.
Toby was feeling brave and thought getting down on one knee was an easy task! Beautiful opal vintage ring and I had absolutely no idea!
Back to Times Square after for cocktails.
A super informal day filled with good food and all of our favourite people.
Colourful, floral and full of love.
We had waited so long to get married after the first wedding was cancelled in March 2022 – we just wanted to have a relaxed day filled with lots of fun.
We never really set one which sounds mad – but we knew what prices felt right and what bits we were willing to spend more on. We tried to make a lot of pieces ourselves/source for cheap. The big expenses we spent out on were:
The rest we begged borrowed and stole.
We were initially getting married in Brighton March 2020 a small intimate day (but we all know why that got cancelled!) and after the last couple of years we decided a family wedding close to home would be lovely. I think we re-evaluated what we wanted from our day and that was to be surrounded by our loved ones!
I think realistically we must have spent about £6000 – but our families were really generous and sourced a lot for us too so this doesn’t include that!

Tapeley Park Instow – Devon.
Our ceremony was initially outdoors in a beautiful stone shelter nestled in the gardens. It was quite uncertain where we would get married as the weather was a little wobbly!
We risked the outdoor ceremony we walked down the aisle in a slight drizzle and then the heavens opened. The guests were all sat on wooden benches huddled under umbrellas the rain just got heavier and heavier.
So we had to make the decision to run indoors into the main house. It was absolutely mad running through the torrential rain. The photos bring us so much joy seeing how funny everyone found it. My Dad rewalked me down the aisle in the house and his grey suit says it all!
I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. We will always remember the moment and Grace’s photos captured all the magic!
Musician was Wayne Green – he played acoustic Paolo Nutini – Last Request and it made us all cry!

Chloe’s dress – Bardot Dress – Temperley London.
Always dreamt of an embellished Temperley dress but way out of any budget so weekly checked eBay and up came this beauty! Brand new and in my size for £500. I definitely think things like that happen for a reason. Wore cream leather platform converse.
Toby’s suit – Moss Bros London.
Went in with his brother/best man for a good simple navy suit – came out with the finest Italian sourced fabric suit with a very cool striped knitted tie. Re-wore his ASOS brown brogue-like shoes from his graduation in 2017.
Theme was a jumble of everything I love. Pastel and pink colours, flowers, being outdoors, good food and loved ones.

Week trip to Edinburgh – enjoying the sights and eating good food. Stayed at the Eden Locke Hotel/Apartments and was incredible!
Take some time out on the day to spend together. The time literally flew by and glad someone else had already gave us this advice! We took a lovely quiet stroll around the gardens together to take it all in.

Wow, wee, what an absolute dream!
Chloe and Toby, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your stunning day and I am absolutely loving your iridescent wedding dress, Chloe!
