I am in wedding heaven with this Isle of Harris wedding, inspired by wildflowers, it’s just SO gorgeous.
WWW followers Martha and Dave were hitched in the Spring on the beach against turquoise seas and clear skies, followed by a stunning reception at An Traigh. The setting was absolutely beautiful and to be honest, I’ve already started scoping campsites! Just wait and see.
Not only was the Scottish scenery remarkable, but there were so many lovely touches. I love that Martha and Dave were keen to keep their day eco-friendly and homemade. Then there was that floral dress of dreams and the dapper suits with floral accessories. Seriously dreamy.
A massive thanks go to Pink Elephant Photography for sharing with us these spectacular shots.

Dave proposed at the top of An Cliseam, the tallest mountain on the Isle of Harris, in May 2019.
The original vision was a bright colourful wildflower inspired wedding.
We wanted it to be as eco-friendly and homemade as possible, and family and friends were very involved in creating our day! The plan changed with covid, and our midsummer wedding became a spring one, but we still tried to incorporate flowers and nature as much as we could.
Scarista beach, Isle of Harris for the ceremony, followed by a reception at An Traigh Café in Talla Na Mara community centre.

The dress was the Heartleaf gown by Willowby by Watters, from The White Collection in Portishead. It was genuinely the very first dress I saw, and after two days of trying on dresses, nothing could top it. I loved the fact it had colour in it and it is so unique.
The groom’s suit is from Moss Bros.
The ceremony was on Scarista beach, it was cold and windy but utterly perfect.
The bride walked down the aisle to a jazz version of Sexual Healing by the Hot 8 brass band, and we walked back down as a couple to Eric Clapton, ‘It’s in the way that you use it’.
Philippa from Pink Elephant Photography was absolutely brilliant!

All our signs and stationery were done by the very talented Gina from Wildwood Designs, who also happened to be my bridesmaid.
The cake (lemon drizzle/gin and tonic flavour) was made by my mum.
Flowers were all dried, grown at home by family. The actual bouquets and buttonholes were provided by You Keep Me Wild.
All the venue styling was done the day before. Peigi from An Traigh had set up our tables, and the smaller details were done by us, our mothers and bridesmaids.

We spent three days in a campervan on North and South Uist! We hope to have a more exotic honeymoon next year.
Go with the flow!
