Get ready to be mesmerised by Simon and Stephanie’s stunning Magheramorne Estate wedding in Northern Ireland. Their day is a masterclass in effortlessly beautiful styling, with pastel blooms and stunning outfits.
I simply love Stephanie’s striking bouquet, not to mention the dusky pink bridesmaid dresses and the elegant reception decorations. From the plant pot table plan to the confetti, sparklers and woodland portraits, their day was perfection from beginning to end.
A huge thank you to Iain Irwin for sharing with us these absolutely gorgeous images with us today. What a treat you have in store today.

We got engaged at Murder Hole beach in Donegal. Simon picked the ring himself so it really was the best surprise.
We had talked about getting married for a while and it was so so exciting telling all of our family and friends.

We wanted a fun and relaxed day with all of our family and friends.
We aren’t the most decisive couple so we thought about everything in lots of detail and tried to only choose things that we really loved.

We didn’t have a set budget, which probably looking back wasn’t the wisest thing! Although we knew what we wanted to spend more money on – I knew I wanted lots of flowers. We decorated the venue ourselves to save money.
Magheramorne Estate

Bride – dress and overskirt. Every dress I tried on I loved so it was very hard for me to decide on one. I always wanted something simple and elegant. I had researched lots of dresses – and the designer Love Story was my favourite. I loved that the overskirt allowed me to have two looks and I loved the design on the skirt as it was different from traditional lace.
Groom – grey/blue suit with pink floral tie – this was to match in with the flowers. The groomsmen wore a navy suit to contrast the groom’s suit.

We wanted the ceremony to be the most important part and it was definitely our favourite part of the day.
We had friends and family playing at the ceremony and the music was amazing! Simon had always wanted ‘Married Life” from UP. The musicians played it during the signing of the register.

Photographer – Iain Irwin. Iain made us feel very relaxed as we don’t love being in front of the camera. He captured all the special moments and our photos are so beautiful – something we will always treasure.
Videographer – Day and Age. Kathryn worked so well alongside Iain and she also made us feel so at ease in front of the camera. The video captured everything so beautifully.

I have always loved pink – so choose this for the bridesmaids! I wanted a deeper pink than blush.
Magheramorne is such a lovely venue – so we tried to go quite minimal on the decorations.
Our florist was amazing and I wanted flowers to be the main theme of the day. I used lots of different-sized glass jars and our florist filled them with posies.
Simon enjoys gardening so he made our table plan – all flower themed
My friend Hope who is a graphic designer did all of our stationery

We spent two weeks in Crete, Greece. We hired a car and travelled around the island – it was amazing.

We loved our day so so much – for us the most memorable and beautiful moment was saying our vows and the ceremony. We felt so happy to be married and that we were able to share this moment with our family and friends.

Marriage is more than just the wedding day. We loved our day so much – but it goes so so fast so try not to stress about all the tiny details. The day will be beautiful and happy because you are getting married!
Oh my, how very special.
Simon and Stephanie, I can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your sublime Magheramorne Estate wedding story.
