Hi Marc, could you firstly tell www readers a little bit about you?

 

My name is Marc Moore, I am one of the directors a company called Jack Bunney Limited. I am a tailor, designer, manager, strategist, brand manager and just about anything and everything that is involved in running a small but diverse formal wear business.

 

What do you love/dislike about your job?

 

I love suits! Every one of us here has a passion for our products, we all love the clothing we design and sell. Some of the most exciting moments come when your designs become reality and then become popular!

The frustrating moments come when your designs do not work out the way you planned, when your prospective clients don’t like what you were convinced would be hugely popular, but that is the risk you take if you want to push the boundaries.

 

How did you get into tailoring and into the wedding industry?

 

My father was also a tailor. He was a cutter for Jack Bunneys for many years until his retirement. I have been in and around a tailors shop since I was a baby! I came to work here some years ago when my father decided to retire. Back then our business was more of a local tailoring business, when my father retired we decided to head in a different direction. With my experience in the ‘Hire’ industry we decided to concentrate our efforts on the ‘Wedding’ side of the business. Once this decision was made, we have never looked back! The business went from strength to strength. Our Tailors-Point-Of-View gave us a different perspective to most other formal hire businesses and within a reasonably short space of time our reputation for quality of service and unique designs spread around the U.K.

 

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

 

Quite simply we would like to live in a world where the groom’s suit is as important as the brides dress. Understandably this is not every person’s ideal but for us here at Jack Bunneys we would like our clients to leave our shop feeling like they have purchased or hired ‘The One’. We do not want our customers to feel ostentatious or flamboyant but confident, stylish and effortless.

 

What style is your work?

 

Our overall ethos for all of our different styles has and will always be ‘English Tailoring’. Within in this umbrella term we have various styles that we use. Our most popular are our:

‘Ceremony Suits’, these are modern, contemporary, alternative morning suits. These are suits designed, by us, just for weddings but do not adhere to the usual genres and categories of wedding suit.

‘Vintage Wedding Suits’ These are the Jack Bunney interpretation of a ‘Vintage Wedding Suit’ So not second hand or actually ‘vintage’ but rather suits which suit that rather loose term of ‘Vintage’. The Vintage tag also works fantastically well with our ‘made-to-measure’ & ‘Bespoke’ departments as this type of wedding allows us to use our traditional knowledge of tailoring and create unique suits, which are not only perfect for the wedding itself but are a truly ‘Bespoke’ item.

 

Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?

 

Our suit hire prices will vary a great deal but an average hire would be about £185.00 per person. Our made-to-measure suits will start from £675.00 as a 2.piece.

 

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting a Suit Supplier?

 

When selecting a Suit Hire supplier always ask about the following:

Do you stock your own suits?

Can we try-on the suits prior to booking?

Can the suits be altered?

What happens if we collect the suits are sizes are wrong?

 

When selecting a tailor always ask the following:

Can I see examples of your work?

Where are the suits made?

Do I have any limitations on customisation?

Are there any additional charges for customisations?

Are there any additional charges for alterations?
