Italy is top of my travel wish list and I so enjoyed being transported to Milan for the beautiful wedding celebrations of Martina and Luigi. They were married in a Church ceremony in the heart of Milan, before travelling into the countryside for their reception at Cascina Boscaccio, which was held on the 29th September 2018. Both settings really were extraordinarily picturesque and created the perfect backdrop to their day.
They had some really wonderful touches to their wedding, with divine stationery, a gorgeous buttercream cake and rustic wooden signs to name but a few. I also really love the pretty florals and the bouquets in particular with those spectacular blush roses. Our pair really looked so stylish in their chosen attire too, as did their wedding party. Come evening the outdoor space was lit up with the most magical lighting, it created such a fantastic atmosphere.
I am sure you will agree that Rossella Putino Photographer captured their wedding just perfectly and we are so thankful to be sharing these sublime images with you.

For Luigi’s 30th birthday – 14 June 2017 – I prepared a surprise..5 days in Formentera island.. there he returned me the surprise!! The first night he asked me to marry him giving me a wonderful sapphire ring! I said YES!

Our wedding is inspired by “A GOOD YEAR” Movie, we love everything about it: The story, the setting, the wine, the irony of the vicissitude and at the same time the really important theme of the family; a reflection on what is really important in life ….and love, sweet love and passionate love!
Forgive my lips. They find joy in the most unusual places.

It was a mix of emotions and sensations:
Anxiety and excitement, happiness and nervousness..
Thanks to the right organization we managed to do everything; first location and church, or better…first, one of the most important things (for me!!) the photographer!
After that, gradually we organized all other activities and plans, sometimes easily and other times with some difficulties.
It was really important in this process the great help of our families.

Approximately 30.000 EUR

Church: Basilica di Santa Eufemia, in the heart of Milan
Cascina Boscaccio in Gaggiano (30 minutes from Milan, in the countryside)

The Dress
Stylist: Allessandra Rinaudo, Boutique: Nicole Spose (Milan)
I chose that dress because I was looking for something simple but stylish and a bit sophisticated. I fell in love with his lace, his “demi-siren” model was perfect to me!
I completed my style with a beautiful pearl and crystal belt (from the same boutique) and similar earrings (“La Porta Blu” jewelry). Also my silk organza veil was from Nicole Spose Boutique.
The most difficult search was that of shoes. I love shoes..so they had to be perfect!! Finally I chose a total white “d’Orsey” model from “Aquazzura” Milan Boutique, a dream!
For hairstyle and makeup I hired two teachers from CFP Milan Academy and their best two students for my bridesmaids.

For ceremony I contacted an extraordinary couple of musicians, organist and violinist, who – in particular for my wedding march – managed to create an arrangement of the melody “Nuvole Bianche” by Ludovico Einaudi, one of the favourite musicians of my husband. It was a surprise for him!!
We chose two different types of music:
For the welcome buffet we hired “Ladies in Tune”, three young swing live singers. It was a success!
During the dinner we choose background music from soundtracks of “A good Year” movie.
For the night party, music was from a party DJ. We danced till 3.00 pm!
Both collaborate with “Matrimoni&Musica” Agency, which has its headquarters in Novara.

Attire: tailor-made by “SARTORIA MILANO” Shoes: “AGO&SPAGO” Milan shop

My bridesmaids are wonderful! They are my four best friends, their dress brand are “Paper Dolls”, I bought them from ASOS.

Florist: Caterina Maurini
We chose pastel tone of pink, peach and green (different types of roses and delicate laurel) and obviously a touch of purple (cosmos dark flowers) to remind of red wine 😉
The style: definitely bucolic
In addition to the classic settings and the bouquet we had:
-Four little bouquets for bridesmaids
-Buttonhole flowers for groom, fathers and groom’s witness (his brother)
-Flower bracelet for bride’s witness (my sister)
Caterina did great work!

PH: Rossella Putino
I chose Rossella’s style for her spontaneous and extremely real way of capturing life. I wished a natural and flowing work, which would impress real moments, palpable sensations.. nothing sham.. she was able to really tell “the butterflies in the stomach” feel that day!
Her photos sing, dance and they will always make me smile!

For details and décor I did it all by myself obviously with the help of some suppliers!
– Wedding announcements (realized by “LeNinette”)
– Liturgical booklets
– Sachets of rice and confetti (for the traditional launch out of the church)
– Different types of sugared almonds to take away by my guests in special sachets
– Nominal placeholders made with cork stoppers (thanks dad!!)
– Tableu de marriage made with prints (on the topic) positioned on a baroque old mirror
– Wedding favors: some delightful crao paper boxes containing Montepulciano wine jams, coming from Abruzzo country (packaging by “EcoFattoArt”)
After the wedding we went a few days to a mountain wellness center.
But our real honeymoon will not be classic! This summer we will make a traveling journey in California with some friends!

We chose a flower cake, with cream and a heart of Chantilly cream, strawberry and chocolate flakes, made by my caterers “Rocca Ricevimenti” from Casatenovo.

Entrance to the church, the wedding march and the exact moment I saw my future life partner.
The dinner, surrounded by the people we love and obviously by good red wine 😉 The wild dancing of the night and the return home…really tired but happy as never before!

NONE STRESS! (as possible!!)
Strength of will and creativity are the key to better face and enjoy this extraordinary experience!
In discouraging moments think that everything is gonna be all right and… that for the “big day” certainly everything will be ready!
