WWW readers Emma and Alex wed at the Mill Barns in Shropshire on Thursday 19th July 2018. It was a simply gorgeous day which Emma describes as the best day of her life, her and Alex just couldn’t stop smiling all day.
I’m loving the florals, in particular the roses in antique pink hues, how romantic! Emma’s Grandma crafted all the details for the décor, isn’t that so special? There was more family input with Emma’s gown. Can you believe that her step mum made it? It’s just beautifully elegant.
Cassandra Lane captured the love and excitement of the day just perfectly and WWW fave Love Two Film were on hand to video the day. Thank you both so much for sharing the magic with us today.
I love that Emma and Alex didn’t go overboard with décor but everything is just so classic and romantic. Right down to the way they adorned a simple M&S cake with the gorgeous flowers. I think you’re going to love this one – enjoy WWWers!
Alex proposed on Christmas Day 2016. Christmas is my favourite time of the year, to have all my family together for a festive engagement, was the best surprise I could have wished for.

A large summer wedding with lots of independent suppliers. We wanted a barn with lots of outside space.

We wanted music that was a little different, we went for:
Walking down the aisle – Untitled #3, Sigur Ros
Signing the register – Hoppipolla, Sigur Ros
Walking out of the ceremony – Simple Song, The Shins
First dance – Little Trip to Heaven, Tom Waits
Last dance – Time of my life, Dirty Dancing

I enjoyed every moment. It was my favourite thing to do. I miss scrolling through Pinterest collecting ideas. It’s incredible all of the creative ideas that people have these days!

It’s such a lot of money for one day, but I would not have changed anything. We did not want to go crazy but just chose the suppliers that we loved and wanted. We probably spent about £28,000.

My step-mum made my dress. It was lots of trial and error but it was beyond perfect. I felt so special.
Veil – Along Came Eve, Chester
Shoes – Karen Millen

ASOS! They all chose their own dresses.

Make Up – Jessica Ava – airbrush technique that lasted the whole day!
Hair – Jade’s Hair and Beuty, Haydock – perfect. I felt like a princess.

Grandma made all of the invites and table decorations. She’s incredibly talented and we were very lucky to have her support!

The whole day. I don’t think I could pick a specific moment.

Everyone tells you the day goes fast and it sure does! I was scared afterwards that I would be so sad that it was over. I wasn’t because for days, weeks and months after I remembered another part of the day that I’d forgotten about. Every time I look at the photos, I see a different moment that I had not seen before. Every time I speak to someone about the day, they tell me about how they remember the day. It will be the best day of your life, do not stop smiling and enjoy every moment. Do not let anything spoil it!
