WWW readers Amy and Gabe kept their Milling Barn wedding in Hertfordshire simple and beautiful. They were hitched on Friday 2nd August 2019 on a wonderful summers day with an outdoor ceremony in the gazebo adorned with blooms. A celebration then followed in the rustic barns, which they thoughtfully decorated with flowers, greenery and rustic touches.
Pastel colours were used throughout with Amy donning a stunning pale pink gown, Gabe adding pink to his attire with a colour pop tie, pale tones were used in the flower arrangements and the bridesmaids wore grey frocks. Didn’t they all look fantastic?
I also love the semi naked cake, the log slice centrepieces and the sound of those sharing platters, yum! Emily Tyler Photography thank you ever so much for sharing these absolutely gorgeous images with us. What a treat!

We met in a bar when Amy was just 18 and Gabe was 19, fast forward 7 years and Gabe surprised me with a proposal in Trivoli Gardens in Copenhagen.

Pastel and natural colours to keep with the hope of simplicity on the day.

We were engaged for about a year and a half before getting married, we have been pretty laid back about the planning process much to the frustration of our families!

We chose the venue because of its simplicity and beauty, we just wanted everyone to enjoy the day and celebrating with us.
We had platters on the table to fit with the relaxed vibe so people can help themselves! And pizza in the evening to keep everyone going through the night.

It was picked out by sister and it was the very first wedding dress I tried on! It was a very pale pink instead of white.

A reading from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin – read by Bride’s sister.
A reading from Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society – read by bride’s cousin (they live in Guernsey).
A reading of the poem I Like You by Sandol Stoddard-Marcus – read by Groom’s good friend, Marcus.
Duetto Aperggione played the ceremony and RockIt playing live music in the evening. Ray LaMontagne – You are the best thing was our first dance song.

Our photographer was Emily Tyler Photography. She had also photographed my sisters wedding a few years ago and we adored the photos so it was a simple choice!

English summer flowers, we wanted to celebrate the natural beauty of an English summer.

Made by Regency cakes.

Yes, we went to South Africa on a Safari for 4 days and then flew over to Mauritius for a relaxing 12 days on the beach.

Forgive each other for your short falls, be kind to one another and love unconditionally.
How very lovely.
