Come down to the woods with us for golden light and beautiful bohemian wedding styling below the canopy of trees. A peaceful and idyllic setting is perfect for romantic nuptials, especially against a crafted wooden backdrop with flowers hanging from ribbons as featured here today.
The focus of the wedding inspiration are the stunning dresses by Lisa Lyons Bridal, which are by the way, captured utterly beautifully by Lily Lane Photography. I adore the delicate lace cape and the low back detailing, accessorised later on with painted wedding leather jackets for a cool vibe.
There are blousy florals and epic greenery laden rustic tables, a perfect naked cake perched upon a log stump and flawless hair and beauty. It’s all just simply gorgeous.

I wanted the shoot to look natural and light but by also using the rustic woodland backdrop it allowed us to have an intimately romantic feel, coupled with a colour palette of green and muted pastel hues to complement the setting of the wildlife sanctuary. What could be more perfect…
As a bespoke dressmaker I normally work to a design brief, set by my clients but this shoot gave me the opportunity to show my handwriting by photographing my own designs.

My personal style is feminine and not overly complicated. These dresses were beautifully simplistic in style but I love to use delicate French Chantilly lace and soft silk georgettes and tulle. They are soft, fluid, romantic, one-off pieces that have a modern, boho feel.
This shoot allowed me to work with some amazingly creative talent that I knew would enhance the story and also to have a little fun with, like pairing Ophelia Rose’s hand-painted leather jackets with the dresses.

I was passionate to work with Lily Lane Photography because her style is effortless and I could not have been happier with the results. The reason I love Lily’s style is her ability to catch the moment and knew she would capture my dresses perfectly, with the aesthetics just as I wanted.
Working with Kerry, Cambridge Makeup Artist was awesome. She gave the model soft, natural makeup and hair. I loved the shimmering, smoky eye and the barely there soft pink lips. She went for a dreamy up-do and the look totally complemented the dresses while enhancing the boho vibe.

Elice from Willow and Blossom used masses of greenery as a perfect addition to the woodland setting. Soft pastel accents from Proteas, Dahlias. Sweet smelling O’hara Roses and Stocks, while Pittosporum and Eucalyptus were highlighted with glimmers of lilac Scabiosa throughout. It was an ideal colour combination for a softer, rustic look. The wooden arch was a perfect backdrop for an intimate moment.

A woodland celebration would not be complete without a homespun setting by Nikkita Palmer and her bespoke furniture. Her bespoke pieces were enhanced with flowers and complemented by a delicious 2 tier naked cake.

The setting was perfect, the coolness of the trees gave the shoot shade and sanctity, while the hot, golden sun transformed into a warm, lazy dusk at the end of the day. Set amongst the woodland and fields of Halsey Field gave us a canvas to create a little magic!
