Magical Norfolk Barn Wedding Wedding in Yellow & Lilac Tones

Let’s head down to the woods for Anna and Tim’s Norfolk barn wedding, shall we? Yes!

Their day was ever so beautiful, hosted at Happy Valley Norfolk they had a woodland ceremony in a stretch tent, followed by a magical barn reception. The summery vibes were accentuated by the vibrant yellow and lilac colour scheme accompanied by swathes of sunflowers. So gorgeous!

Then there were the stylish outfits, beautiful signs and an outdoor first dance, so very special.

Norfolk Barn Wedding

The Proposal

Tim proposed whilst on a holiday to America in 2019. We were driving down the Pacific Highway and stopped in Big Sur. It was during sunset on a secluded beach.

The Vision

We wanted to get married outside and at a venue with glamping/cabins for close friends and family. We loved the idea of getting married by a beautiful lake with willow trees, which is exactly what we got.

We also wanted a big summer BBQ with Pimms and lots of dancing!

Tim’ Suit – Moss Bros.

He wanted a blue suit and a bow tie rather than a regular tie. This matched the bridesmaid dresses (yellow bow tie).

Anna’s dress – Made with Love.

The second shop I visited with my mum, sister and best friend. I wanted something with a sheer top and slit in the skirt. Something easy to dance in!

The Styling & Decor

We wanted wildflowers so found an amazing florist who grows her own. Sunflowers were a must – “The Wild Folk Florist’.
Low key decorations, just lots of fairy lights and flowers! Long barn style tables.
We hired props and signage from “Little Lending Company”.
Colours were yellows and lilacs mainly.
No cake.

The Honeymoon

We went to Ibiza for 2 weeks which was amazing! It was one of the only places we could go at the time due to travel restrictions and it was perfect. A beautiful island.
