Etsy got in touch to see if we wanted to write about what makes Christmas special. Well, it’s not really the actual day that really gets me, but the lead up, the excitement and all the little traditions we have started.
I have experimented with different Christmas decoration themes in the past, but when it comes down to it, I love the traditional colours, natural materials and personalised pieces, which in time become heirlooms.
Every year I also love making my own Christmas wreath, it is always a highlight of the season for me.

More time than ever is spent in the kitchen over Christmas in our family. Traditional recipes come out, hello sausage rolls, yule log and mince pies. So of course these lovely picks will really add something special to your festive cooking space.

It’s just got to be done right? The Christmas jumper has been growing year on year in popularity and I think it’s high time I invested in a new knit. I love these quirky and unconventional sweatshirts for stylish babes.

I love nothing better than settling in front of the log burner, playing Christmas music, lighting a candle and getting my Christmas wrap on. Pretty paper, stylish twine and personalised tags will leave your recipient in eager anticipation of what’s to unwrap. We also still do Christmas cards each year, I love hand delivering them too and actually getting round to seeing everyone in December. But for those that go in the post, the Christmas stamps are always a lovely purchase. Don’t forget the scissors and good quality tape folks!

Then there is the night before, quite possibly the most exciting day of a child’s year. We wrap up warm and head to our local Christingle church service. Before coming home to new PJs and putting out bits for Father Christmas. I especially love the Christmas Eve box below, which could come out each year filled with special treats. How utterly perfect!

Ohh I am most definitely in the Christmas mood now. I cannot wait!
Are you the organised type? Do you have any traditions? We’d love to hear all about them below xo Lou
