Friday dreaming courtesy of Fly On The Wall Photography and Keeley Wedding Films today, hooray! These Peak District elopement ideas are nothing short of beautiful. Imagine the ultimate adventure together, eloping in a seriously romantic way with the most spectacular backdrop.
The scene was set with a naked tipi adorned with greenery; rugs and blankets added cosiness. Then there was the boho table set up, complete with flowers, candles and grazing food. The couple looked totally on trend with WWW Supplier Love member Lisa Lyons Bridal providing the striking flowing gown and the groom donned a country feel check jacket. Keep your eyes peeled too for the amazing transport, geometric cake creation and a very cool denim jacket.

A wild elopement is all about heading into the middle of nowhere, escaping all the noise and distractions of everyday life, and just focusing on the two of you. Embracing the adventure of you, that’s just getting started!
I’ve heard the Peak District described as a forgotten gem in the English countryside, and it couldn’t be more true! Just a couple of hours north of London between Sheffield and Manchester is this great expanse of rolling hills, wild farmland, breathtaking landslips, and rocky outcrops. This dramatic scenery has stolen my heart, and I hope it does yours too! Tucked away in the heart of England, you feel like you’ve escaped to the wild – the perfect backdrop for a stunning elopement! For this shoot, we headed to my favourite spot – Higger Tor, with stunning 360-degree views and lots of dramatic rocky scenery, from the moment I found it I wanted to shoot there!

The Defender glimmered as it caught the sunshine on its way winding up through the hills. This completed the shoot, giving the couple the arrival and getaway vehicle of an adventurer’s dreams!
Drawing colour inspiration from the grassy moorlands and wildflower hedgerows that bring the Peak District to life each year. The team used earthy colour tones and soft pink hues throughout the floral design, styled details, and incredible grazing food display.

I loved the attention to detail, throughout SASS weddings styling, from the gorgeous gold cutlery to the picnic basket and blanket spilling over in the teepee. Drawing from the mountainous environment Dove & Lace created delightful triangular place names. If you’ve got serious table envy it’s because our table was lovingly hand-crafted by Smith Hills Rustic Furniture, who create beautiful bespoke pieces from their home workshop. Their low-level coffee table was the centrepiece for our elopement. Ink and Earth Studio tied all the elements of this shoot together, with gorgeous neutral tones throughout the flowers, and the addition of foraged wild foliage to create a stunning bouquet, gorgeous backpack, beautiful floral details. As well as the teepee backdrop. The team came together and created a gorgeous wild, luxurious setting for our elopement.

Katy and Tom got married a year ago, and when they saw the model call for our shoot they jumped at the chance! These two made the shoot, Tom had us all laughing from the start, bringing the fun! And they were up for anything, clambering up all the rocks and loving every minute! Topped off by the moment they shared Urban Cakehouse’s blondies (which were seriously delicious!) and Tom bit Katy’s thumb by accident, ending in a lot of laughter and a moment none of us will forget! We all had the best time, and it shows!

The Bela top paired with the gorgeous Lily skirt by Lisa Lyons Bridal was the absolute perfect fit for this shoot. The lace brought the dreamy feel, while the skirt was the perfect length for being caught in the wind and for Katy to pick up to clamber up the rocks!

An elopement picnic doesn’t mean it needs to be small! The grazing table of dreams brought to us by Every Last Bite Co went down a treat with Katy & Tom. And let’s be honest we were all dying to dig in. I loved the details they put in, like the honeycomb with bees nest honey dipper! It was an incredible, delicious variety of foods that made this show-stopping luxury picnic for two.

Mazz Loxton created a beautiful, carefree, braided bridal hairstyle that looked gorgeous throughout our different bridal looks. Luna and Wild’s bridal fedoras created with dried flowers are simply gorgeous. I loved the dark tones mixed with the earthy colours. Katy changed to a flower crown as the sun went down which looked amazing with her braided hair.

After adventuring around the rocks, the couple returned to the teepee for the evening to share their cake and snuggle together, watching the sunset. Urban Cakehouse’s cake was a gorgeous take on the triangle theme, with a stunning handcrafted edible rose detail. The cake was styled on Smith Hills’ gorgeous log slice cake table.

Personalised jackets are all the rage right now, and I for one hope they’re here to stay! Rock Paper Nib captured the essence of this shoot perfectly in this bespoke painted denim jacket which Katy pulled on as the evening got cooler. I especially love the star detailing on the pocket and sleeves!

We love working together – we’re both all about keeping it natural and real, with lots of movement! Using natural light to create beautiful, dramatic moments. We wanted to create an elopement story for our couple, with gorgeous moments of beautiful connection, daring adventure, and wild abandon.
We had an amazing team of suppliers who collaborated to pull this off – overcoming all kinds of curve balls from climbing a big hill, to styling via FaceTime thanks to COVID! This shoot was a proper adventure, with onlookers tooting their horns and shouting their congratulations as our real couple twirled on top of a rocky outcrop! There’s nothing like chasing a sunset with wind in your hair, feeling like you’re on top of the world. What a way to get married!
