Colourful India Meets Wales Pen Y Fron Wedding

What joy and colour I have to share with you courtesy of Madi and Rohan’s Pen Y Fron wedding in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Swoon!

They had already held their legal wedding ceremony, and so this special day was all about celebrating with their loved ones. Think gorgeous colourful flowers, stunning outfits and DIY decor which includes stunning slate signs.

Madi is from Wales and Rohan’s family is from India and so they combined both of their cultures to really represent them as a couple. There were so many smiles, a live brass band, a tuk-tuk and sunset portraits in the fields. What a dream.

The Proposal

We got engaged underwater in 2018 in the Galapagos islands whilst scuba diving with some friendly sharks.

The Vision

India meets Wales.

Madi is from Dinorwig and Rohan’s family is from India. We wanted to combine the two cultures and create something that represented us both and the joining of two families.

The Ceremony & Music

We got married during covid so had a registry office wedding with just our families present which was really special.

But we always knew that we wanted a big party with all our friends and family.

The Venue

Pen Y Fron, Gwytherin.

The Styling & Decor

We made our own signs and seating plan. Hired some lighting for the barn.

We wanted bright colours and Fresh In Bloom flowers were fantastic. They were local to the venue and used homegrown flowers. Amy was great.

Your Outfits

Madi initially wore a sari for our ceremony part and then changed into a hot pink party dress.

Rohan wore a blue suit.

Your Photographer

Fox and Bear Photography!! Incredible from start to finish. Dewi was superb.

We met before to go through some of the details and then he executed it to perfection on the day. All our guests commented after how good he had been and had just blended in with everyone. He also helped us massively on the day with little tips and advice.
