I’d really love someone to tell me how it’s already nearly the end of 2018?! This year has absolutely flown by, helped by all of the gorgeousness I get to view on a weekly basis. I’m recently engaged myself and love being inspired by all of our ever so talented couples and their magical days. I found it incredibly difficult to narrow down my favourites but here goes with 10 weddings that really stood out for me.
Whilst I dearly love over the top wedding décor and florals, sometimes it is just as effective to create drama with a pared down approach. I simply adored Charlie and Liam’s elegant yet down to earth approach to their wedding, not to mention Charlie’s beautiful gown.

Continuing on the theme of less is more, I love a wedding that has such a spectacular backdrop that not too much decoration is needed. The impact of the dinosaurs in Samantha and David’s photographs really is quite something and I’m such a fan of their decision to have the ceremony and wedding breakfast the day before a big party.

Elanor and Nathaniel’s day was ever so special, particularly as their whole wedding was a real DIY effort. There’s so much to love in this one, from the bold and beautiful bridesmaids to the amazing florals and the personal touches. Most of all, I love that it proves that you don’t need a vast budget to create a really stylish day.

This wedding took place at a venue I was lucky enough to work at myself this year and I just LOVE it. It’s full of hidden nooks and crannies with loads of great backdrops for photos. Will and Mariana had their whole day there and so really took advantage of all the amazing spaces. This was another wedding with not a huge budget, what’s not to love?

It’s no secret that I love some greenery at a wedding and the foliage at Emma and Alex’s is truly show stopping. Throw in some sequins and the most gorgeous fishtail gown, and I think you’re on to a winner! The venue was entirely transformed with plenty of personal touches too.

Oliver and Rose’s day really blew me away. I love that each element of the wedding was in a different venue and I do so love a party at home. The glitzy disco vibe of the evening party was particularly special and the whole celebration was full of so much fun.

This wedding just looked so cosy and the lighting simply magical. I’m a huge fan of Geraldine’s celestial gown and there are the most delightful decorative touches, perfect for a winter wedding. Geraldine and Conleth look like the sweetest couple and I imagine being a guest would have been such a special experience.

This wedding was one of those that I couldn’t quite believe wasn’t a styled shoot. The rich tones make it so opulent and it looks like an exceptionally fun day too. The super stylish couple Matthew and Francesca wanted a day that reflected them and my gosh is it a beauty!

More fun and frolics in Leeds with Rebecca and Duncan’s colourful and personal wedding. An absolutely amazing drip cake and the streamer and pin wheel backdrop of dreams made their day really stand out for me. The florals are also brilliant and the location really something special.

I think this must be my absolute favourite wedding of 2018. Their day involved a stunning outdoor ceremony with a gorgeous macramé backdrop and lots of DIY touches. Lottie and Adomas completely nailed it in the fashion stakes and Lottie even arranged the flowers herself!

It’s a tough job perusing all these marvellous weddings but someone’s got to do it! What a wonderful 2018 and here’s to another year of talented couples and their beautiful big days. Rachel x
