Does it get any more whimsical or wonderland-like than The Wizard Of Oz? I think not, so of course, I just loved this rainbow wedding ideas editorial inspired by the classic film.
Kindly sent over to me by Michelle Huggleston Photography, a really creative team collaborated to share their talents. From a rainbow cake of dreams to a cool backdrop and pretty stationery, this shoot has it all. I just adore the ombre effect flowers on the table set up, the bridal fashion and those sweet chocolates. I have a funnily feeling you are going to adore this shoot as much as I do.

The one thing that lockdown showed me was how much I adore cinema and film.
It’s something that seems so obvious now. I spent so much time during lockdown binge watching TV and movies. My boyfriend and I have made Sunday nights our movie night (which has helped us figure out what day of the week it is!). We enjoy chatting about shots, colours, narrative and film, we met working in a cinema, so it’s almost a part of me and my history and everything I love.
So why not show what I love, in shoots, to hopefully give ideas to couples planning?

These fun shoots are a way to show how you can put your own stamp on a wedding day and still have it be elegant. Your wedding day should be about you, your favourite colours, your interests, your favourite film, the list goes on. You can have such fun and quirky touches, the ideas are endless!
A massive thank you to everyone on my Instagram who offered suggestions when I asked what film you associated with colour. There was a clear winner, which led us to produce this fun colourful shoot with a Wizard of Oz twist.

I wanted to show my love of colour, and what better than a film with a yellow brick road, an emerald city, and the vibrant land of Oz. The small nods like the star headpiece by Ashley Wild Bridal (very Glinda) to the white rainbow earrings, and the red heart favours by Sugarsnap Chocolates. We simply had to include a fun spin on a wedding cake, Charlotte from Lily’s Bake Box added the yellow brick road and rainbow topper, adding colour and vibrancy to the day. There were twists throughout this shoot, I wanted everything to look elegant, without the idea being too obvious. So at a glance it looks like a beautiful array of flowers, and then you realise they’ve formed colours of the rainbow.

You really can do anything when wedding planning, it’s choosing what’s authentic to you both and working with awesome suppliers who bring ideas to life. These suppliers did just that!
