If you are considering using red roses at your wedding, allow this stunning editorial shoot to sway you.
Wonderfully Made Beauty wanted to bring together Eastern colours with Western wedding themes, and the result was the most beautiful luxe red rose wedding ideas. There were sumptuous red flowers throughout. Not to mention incredible outfits including a ruffled red wedding dress and a stylish tablescape.
Keep your eyes peeled for a magnificent rose flower arch and a beautiful, chic wedding cake all captured beautifully by Brandon and Serena Photography.

This royal red themed shoot took place at Maple Meadows Farm nestled in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada. As the owner of Wonderfully Made Beauty, a Chinese-owned bridal hair and makeup company, the inspiration for this shoot came from a desire to tie a traditional Eastern colour with Western wedding themes.

In Chinese culture, brides often wear red because it symbolizes happiness and prosperity. We wanted to showcase this stunning colour alongside a beautiful Niagara venue!

We worked closely with Maple Meadows Farm and Brandon and Serena Photography to highlight the wonderful features of the 2 acre property. Constructed in the 1840’s, the “original post and beam” 5000 square foot barn offered the perfect rustic backdrop for our shoot
Our reception set featured a solid wood harvest table from Special Occasions Party Rental, which was contrasted with white chairs from Maple Meadows. The table was adorned with two gold centerpieces that brought in the rich crimson flowers and was complemented by tall white taper candles in crystal holders.

Boutique Linen Rentals paired the dinnerware with gold chargers and cutlery. The place cards with gold flakes and a white wax seal finished the reception setting.

We began the shoot by featuring the ceremony photos in their beautiful courtyard. Simply Elegant by Emma created a breathtaking 7 foot floral arch overflowing with rich red roses, deep crimson peonies and green foliage.

We chose a royal ivory wedding gown from Feather and Pearl, which was beaded with delicate pearl-like accents. The dress featured a lace overlay with floral detailing flowing down the tulle ballgown skirt.

To complement the extravagant gown, Wingmen Suits fitted the groom with a simple yet modern charcoal suit and matching red tie.

For the bride’s makeup, we chose a soft smokey eye with winged eyeliner to accentuate her almond-shaped eyes. We highlighted her beautiful cheekbones with a pulled back high updo. A simple pearl headband from Feather and Pearl finished the sophisticated look.

The Aarts of Baking created a natural wedding cake accented with roses and peonies to match the rustic venue.

Cedar Mint and Co., designed the stationery using red tones paired with graceful calligraphy. The envelopes featured cherry-coloured stamps and milky white wax seals with gold foil to bring out the regal essence in our shoot.

For the reception pictures, our bride changed into a show-stopping scarlet gown, which was overflowing with layers of red tulle. Her pearl headband was replaced with a rose gold crown and her nude lip exchanged for a bold ruby colour.

We finished the shoot with cozy, after the wedding, pictures of the couple in Maple Meadow’s mezzanine fireside room. The ivory loveseat paired with the tapered candles from the reception and the floral pieces from the ceremony arch tied together the set.

Goodness me, so beautiful!
