Pure escapism this lovely Autumnal Sunday, with dreamy, romantic wedding ideas just perfect for Spring/Summer 2017 nuptials. The idea behind the shoot began with the show stopping cakes, lashings of butter cream, towers of sponges, intricate icing and delicious fruits galore. Delicate fine art inspired ideas included, fresh whimsical blooms, pale ribbons and a natural table-scape.
Huge thanks goes to Rachel Rose for sharing these sublime shots. You’re going to be in wedded bliss here today lovelies.
“The inspiration behind the shoot began with us wanting to showcase the beautiful creations of Dreamworld Cakes. We started with the beautiful cakes and brought in an amazing team of suppliers to create a soft, fine art style, inspiration shoot. The cakes were an array of loveliness, ranging from rustic naked and semi naked cakes, to perfect pink macarons, to more intricate and elaborate cakes with delicate sugar work. They all had a simple elegance to them.
The location for the shoot was the beautiful Doxford Barns in Northumberland. It provided a perfect backdrop with its beautiful open and light spaces. We utilized it’s rustic charm and incorporated the lovely stone walls and barn doors as backdrops.
The flowers by Wildflower were soft, romantic and unstructured and a gorgeous pastel cascade adorned one of the centrepiece cakes.
The hair stylist was Emma Hill, she worked her magic and created a classic, romantic and sleek up do. Working with her was MUA Holly Shek who created a flawless and natural look.
The dress ‘Demelza’ was by Ailsa Munro who creates beautifully romantic gowns. The dress was vanilla silk chiffon draped in a deep v neckline. The a line skirt had a chapel length train and it had double petal sleeves. It was super floaty and dreamy and was perfect for the romantic feel of the shoot.”
