Wow! What a fantastic wedding we have for you today. Beth and Ben were married in the Planetarium, Bristol and chose The Square for their reception. Their day really is a master-class in how to go bold and combine two quite different themes in an incredibly stylish fashion, proof if it were needed that you don’t need to stick to one colour scheme. Given the ceremony venue, space obviously featured prominently but the reception was also decked out in brilliantly colourful touches, all handmade by Beth and her friends. The pom poms adorning the space make a wonderfully festive alternative to bunting and the gold dinosaur place card holders are amazing.
The pair were wanted to make sure the day was completely their own and there were so many incredible touches, from the tiered pile of donuts with day of the dead topper instead of a cake, to to the painted cans planted with succulent and decorated with mini pom poms.
Beth looked super stylish in her Laure de Sagazan gown and Vivienne Westwood shoes, while Ben was a Reiss groom. The bridesmaids look amazingly cool in their Frida Kahlo print dresses and red Dr Martens.
Thank you so much to Caro Hutchings for capturing the colour and sharing these incredible images with us.

THE PROPOSAL | Ibiza
THE VISION | Colour, pom poms, space, Astronauts, Frida Kahlo, dinosaurs, mexico, handmade, dr. Martens. We just wanted to combine everything that we love rather than a restrictive theme. Music was also really important throughout the whole day.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | With our combined love of and interest in space, the universe and science, the Planetarium was the perfect place for us to get married, and being a massive Sci Fi fan the fact the building looks like some kind of spaceship from the outside was an added bonus!
We didn’t want a huge wedding and wanted a less formal and more relaxed vibe which narrowed down our potential reception venues. The Square seemed to tick all the boxes and was the perfect size for our guests.
It was important to me to make as much as I could, and to involve those close to me.
