What a delight it is to be sharing these dreamy wedding ideas at The Spire in Brighton, complete with orange hues, a moon gate wedding arch and macrame decor. Swoon.
I am over the moon to be featuring Supplier Love member Arabian Tents‘ rustic furniture too, which looked ever so gorgeous with all of the decorations and styling. These images by Kelsie Scully Photography really are so lovely, what with the vibrant flowers and floral wedding cake creation to name just a few. Petal Blush was behind the concept, not to mention the darling hair and makeup looks.
There are so many wonderful and inspirational ideas that you are going to want to save everything to your mood board today.
Our beautiful shoot was set in Brighton’s Spire venue. It’s a great venue for the creative bride who wants to source all her own suppliers as its completely dry hire. What I loved about the venue is that it was so quirky, it had peeling paintwork, stain glass windows, and even a piano room.

We had a ceremony arch, macramé, beautiful stationery, pampas grass, feathers, crystal glassware, brass candlesticks and we even had a visit from a dog who of course had to get involved in the shoot!

We were able to style different elements to the shoot; a ceremony, dinner, and drinks reception and I especially loved the vintage bar cart Helen from ‘Betty loves Vintage’ set up so the couple could have a cheeky gin while laughing on the sofa in the piano room. I especially loved how the stylist Helen and florist Bryony were able to make a feature of the quirky chipped painted piano!

Bryony created the most incredible flower crown, it even had real blackberries in! The bouquet had blackberries and cruelty free pheasant feathers ethically sourced from a local small holding and the flowers were just stunning. She managed to capture the fun, colourful look I had envisioned and turned it into something even better and the flowers were my favourite element of the shoot in the end!

For hair and makeup I kept things fun and simple – loose boho curls with a simple half up using twists, and for the makeup I used some of my favourite bridal products including Charlotte Tilbury, RCMA, Pixi, and finishing the look off with some subtle false lashes.
Our real life couple were due to get married in the Summer 2020, but due to the Covid restrictions they postponed their wedding to 2021. I liked that we were able to create a wedding day for our couple as a little taster of what was to come for them.

We all had so much fun on the day and it felt like a real celebration for us all, it gave us something to focus on and feel positive about after all the sadness and strangeness we were all surrounded by. We felt it was a celebration for all our postponed brides and grooms and we wanted to showcase our colourful fun day and be positive that soon weddings will be able to resume as normal.

I gave Helen a mood board where she created a formal dinner table using pieces from her vintage tableware collection. She used botanical designs which complimented the seasonal colours and the vintage wine glasses sparkled in the light!

The florist created a table garland which worked well with Helen’s table styling which she styled with seasonal fruits to bring pops of colours and bring the outdoors in.
