Does the title of a real wedding feature get any better? I think not! Hanna and Adam are gracing our pages today with their utterly beautiful enchanted forest inspired wedding day, which come evening became an enchanted starry night reception. They were married on the 30th November 2018 at WWW fave and Wedding Suppliers members Hampton Manor in the West Midlands. I just love the light filled atrium complete with glass roof, which they held their reception in.
Their day was full of love, which can evidently be seen from the incredible captures by the wonderful Carrie Lavers Photography. We are just so grateful to be sharing these emotive and touching photographs with you.
Now, the celestial wedding theme has been one of the huge trends of the moment and it’s easy to see why it works so well in weddings. It adds a touch of whimsy, of mystery and of total and utter pretty. Hanna and Adam incorporated stars within Hanna’s striking crown, the painted signage, the star Christmas decoration place names and in the sparkle of the bridesmaid dresses. The result was subtle and so very stylish.
Finally there is no way that I couldn’t mention Hanna’s show-stopping gown by Made With Love. The embroidery and detachable skirt make this one swoon-worthy and totally dreamy dress. Just you wait until you see the Jimmy Choos too! Then there was Adam’s tailor made suit, which he teamed with stylish accessories, very dapper indeed. Also I must shout out about the bouquet, because it’s just so bountiful.

Adam proposed to me in our tree house in South Africa. We had just been out on safari and he had run off to the loo leaving me to carry everything up the 132 stones steps to the treehouse. So, my language whilst throwing everything on the bed was one to be desired, but then noticing the candlelit room and table for 2 that quickly turned to ‘what the hell is going on??!!’

It started with the beautiful venue Hampton Manor, and the time of year we were getting married…. enchanted winter forest came to mind, which turned into an enchanted starry night.

We had almost 2 years from booking our date at Hampton Manor, so it was a relaxing process where everything fell into place, Instagram was a real life saver for me as this is where I came across most of my ideas or at least what started off my thought process.
Hampton Manor

Mine started before booking the venue with my beautiful Jimmy Choo’s – I’m still so in love with them.
Made With Love Stevie dress with detachable tulle skirt – from Coco and Kate Boutique – Hatton Park. I loved the concept of the detachable skirt, so I could have 2 looks in one. I nearly went down the road of having my dress made but this was exactly what I was looking for. Veil was also from Coco and Kate.
My bridal robe was hand embellished in Australia – Maes Sunday.
My crown and star pins were from the wonderfully talented Sally Thomas of Tilly Thomas. I visited her at her studio in London and we designed the crown together. I haven’t any family heirlooms, so I thought this would be a nice keepsake.
My necklace was a wedding gift from Adam from Tiffany’s.
Adam’s suit was tailored for him from Whitcomb and Shaftesbury. Adam has had pieces made by them before and loved the service from them, so was an obvious choice for him for his wedding suit. The fabric was chosen by him, he wanted something to suit the season that also looked elegant.
Made to measure shirt from Shirtonomy.
Shoes were from Edward Green.
Cufflinks were my gift to him from Samuel Gassmann.
Pocket square from Olof 1982.
Infinity knot from Monsieur Fox.

Both mine and my bridesmaids’ hair was done by the talented Jessica Jordan at Mode Weddings.
Make up for all was the lovely Bryony Dalton.

The readings and music were a big thing for us, we both love a lot of different genres, so it was important we had them featured in our day.
A playlist was created for the ceremony whilst everyone waited.
Sleeping At Last was played by Turning Page as I walked down the aisle
Signing the Register, we had – Write My Name by Chptrs, Thousand Love Songs by The Light the Heat and Can’t Help Falling in Love – Haley Reinhart.
Then for the recession was Coldplay’s a Sky Full of Stars.
Readings were;
I carry your Heart – E.E.Cummings
We Are Magic – R.M Drake
Playlists were then played throughout the drink’s reception and meal.
We had Heavy D & The Boyz – Now that we’ve found love – play for the bridal party entrance which was a great laugh.
Then the very talented band Brother From Another Mother were our evening entertainment.

Adam’s 6 groomsmen were all his best friends from school.
Groomsmen and father of the bride and groom suits were from Black Tie in Coventry.
My bridesmaids/bridesman were my 3 best friends and Adam’s 2 sisters.
Bridesmaid dresses were ordered from Virgos Lounge.
Bridesman suit from Black Tie.
I had their star necklaces, bridesman lapel pin, our mum’s matching bracelets bespoke made from the beautiful Billie from five4silver – she took my idea for them and made them a reality.

My wedding ring was from Meadowlark in New Zealand – we love the country so wanted little pieces of the countries we love incorporated into the day somehow. Adam’s was from Francis and Gaye.
Our table plan and welcome sign were from Lesley at The Rustic Wedding Company. I had seen a similar cake back board that Lesley had featured on Instagram and loved the celestial feel. We discussed a bit more of a starry night sky for both the boards and ‘lets dine under the stars’ fitted in perfectly as we were eating under a glass topped roof.
A friend hand made all our individual place names which we turned into Christmas decorations for everyone, continuing the starry theme.
Another friend Clare, from Calligraphy by Clare did our menus, ceremony seating places, guest room goody bags and bridesmaid gift hangers to fit in with the theme. She had recently done some pieces for a close friend’s wedding and they were wonderful!
Filipa de Oliveira from Papelleshop created our wedding banner – which I eventually want up in our home as its sooooo beautiful!
I have tried to stay with people that I have met along the way, whom you create a lovely relationship with. All my ladies and gents that have helped us achieve our perfect day are all uniquely amazing and wonderful human beings.

Flowers were from the wonderful Karen at Passion For Flowers – she is a real sweetie and none of my million alterations phased her.
She did all the bouquets, button holes, table décor, birch arbour and candles.

The wonderful stalker of light – Carrie Lavers was our photographer, we finally met when she did our engagement shoot and wow we were blown away! We have just had our pictures sent to us and they have really helped us re live the day and will for many many years to come – its so hard to choose favourites they are all perfect. The candid shots of our unsuspecting guests are amazing, even our camera-shy niece has been portrayed perfectly!!

We spent a few days at the North Star Club in Sancton – stunning!
Then we travel to New Zealand for 3 weeks of camper travelling at the end of February.

My insanely talented mummy did our cake and what a spectacular sight that was – she wanted to incorporate both myself and Adam into the cake, hence the globe on top – pinned with all the countries we have visited together.

The morning of getting ready with my bests – super calm.
Seeing my Dad for the first time in my dress – nearly cracked a tear!
Seeing my bridesmaids lined up to walk down the aisle before me.
Seeing Adam turn around for me walking down the aisle
Speeches!
Having time together on the dance floor – felt like no one was watching and it was just us.

People will give you all the advice in the world – but it is so hard to follow it all.
The things I have learnt from that day…
About the day… It will go fast.
Try not to worry about all your guests having a good time worry about you and your husband.
About the planning… Take your time to find things you like, don’t get stressed remember it’s a wonderful experience.
Stick to your guns – do what you want to do not everyone else, particularly family you won’t regret it.
