The shoot came about after Laura of Luna and Frank wanted to connect with more suppliers in the wedding industry. With many wedding fairs not up and running as much as pre-pandemic, she hadnβt had an opportunity to meet other suppliers in real life and had only connected on Instagram.
She reached out to lots of suppliers and with many of them having a hangover of work from the summer with the influx of weddings in 2021, many of the established suppliers were very busy. This gave her a great opportunity to work with some newer suppliers who were just starting out in the industry like herself. It was the first shoot of hers and florist Sarah at Hope & Flora so they felt like we were in it together.

The whole day ran really smoothly and had a great relaxed and friendly vibe, with each supplier being open to taking different shots, offering up advice and with thanks to Laura from Graze Cheshire – Lunch too! (Yes, they got to eat the grazing board!)
Laura wanted to create an intimate βmicro weddingβ vibe to the shoot, to offer a great experience for new suppliers to get involved, without the cost of supplying materials for a large set up. She wanted to use lots of warm shades of terracotta, oranges, peaches and creams to give variety to the colour scheme and allow for a fluid colour pallet.
On the day, everyone had really studied the mood and colours, and taken it in their own way. The beautiful styling of the table by Sam from Ambience Cheshire East, was pulled together and complimented by the gorgeous flowers Sarah of Hope & Flora added in. The highs and lows of the colours brought from each supplier really worked well together. Adding the Graze board was the finishing touch, and the colours of the food and foliage tied everything in perfectly.
Luna and Frank Weddings wanted to use the shoot to try out new things, so she used tassels and shaped invitations, sketching the florals direct to computer to create the super chic invitation suite. Soft rose gold wax seals were added which could be used on the envelopes and menus. She also provided a shaped table plan and hanging welcome sign which Hope & Flora adorned with beautiful flowers.

The whole shoot couldnβt have happened without the help from Victoria Storah Weddings. Victoria and Laura were meant to be working on a separate shoot that never came to fruition. Laura contacted her to let her know she wouldnβt be available and invited her to this one. She brought so many suppliers on board, she has great contacts and is so easy to get along with.

Photographer Tasha of Opperhill Photography, was brilliant. She had a great relaxed style whilst still moving the day of with pace. She ensured each supplier got a moment to shine taking images specific for each person. She brought a great relaxed feel to the day and was adapted easily to all the different ideas and concepts.

The venue was Owen House Barn, somewhere Laura had been lusting over for a long time. Itβs a perfect venue, even when it was chucking it down on the day of our shoot it was so versatile. So many beautiful areas to take photos, a gorgeous ceremony room, luxurious beauty shed to do all hair and make-up and a special shed for the men too. Laura had attended their open evening a few weeks prior and the venue filled with people had such a wonderful atmosphere.

Graze Cheshire provided a stunning grazing board as the centre piece to the table. Laura from Graze Cheshire, had wanted to capture a wedding shot since starting her business and had been waiting 18 months for a shot of a couple enjoying her food. She βwhoopedβ when the models started eating it and we were all jealous! Luckily for us, she provided cutlery and plates for the team to share at lunchtime.

Iddy Biddy Photo booth is the cutest Photo Booth, run by Vicki who is a new bride herself. She set up the cute camper outside in the courtyard and we got some great shots inside and out of the little van. She did her famous gee-ing up dance outside to get Melissa and Chris taking some excellent shots!

The dresses were designed by Willow By Watters and provided by Along Came Eve β we could have used the whole range! They had a soft relaxed boho feel to them but at the same time a lovely level of βbridalβ. Kendal from the boutique attended the day and was great suggesting different dresses.

The Castledines, Chris and Melissa were such a great model couple. Melissa has only been modelling for a year but it didnβt show. They were professional, didnβt need much direction and brought a sense of fun to the day as well.
The flowers from Sarah at Hope & Flora were sensational, it was hard to believe she started her business during lockdown, working with dried flowers to start with and once the world opened again, working with real flowers. Her florals were incredible and added a real touch of luxury to the shoot. She had such an eye for tiny details and worked with care on every aspect.

I loved the idea of lots of candles and gorgeous lighting and have been admiring βThe Word is Loveβ and their neon signs for a long time. They had created a new light in a warm glow, that they hadnβt featured yet and brought this along to the shoot which was wonderful knowing we were taking the first photos.

Sam from Ambience Cheshire East, brought so many wonderful touches to the day. Filling the ceremony barn with candles and soft lighting, dressing the table with an array of wonderful candles which make a perfect atmosphere too.

The cake provided by Sarah at The Sugared Rose and was stunning! Sarah is a good friend of Laura and also makes insane cakes! They look as good as they taste. She created this beautiful marbled cake with golden edges which was just stunning!

SG Menswear provided the suits for Chris. They have a selection of heritage style suits to hire as well as more formal suits too with lots of mix and match styles to make it your own. A small shop based in Leigh, Lancashire they are such a lovely alternative option to the high street chains.

Roxy from her self-named company Roxyβs Makeup, provided the make-up. She created a lovely natural look, she was open to all the ideas and the team knew we were in safe hands knowing she would create a beautiful look for Melissa. She also switched up the lip colour for a second look and was on hand all day for touch ups to ensure Melissa and Chris looked fantastic!

Glorious by Heidi provided the headband and earrings for Melissa to wear and they were just stunning. She creates each piece in her studio in Macclesfield by hand. Each piece is a work of art and you really get a sense of the time and love poured into each piece. They are βwedding-yβ without being too blingy. She had created some stunning new earrings which hadnβt been photographed before and they were lucky enough to use these on the day.
Sophie came on board to do the hair. Laura had created a Pinterest board and pinned a few ideas which Sophie took and ran with. She added lots of her own ideas and suggested we did two looks for the day. She created a beautiful fishtail plait across the head and a second relaxed look, without it looking too pinned and set, which was perfect for the style of shoot.

Wow! A massive thanks go to the incredible team below for sharing these sensational terracotta wedding ideas.
