An extremely warm welcome to WWW followers Chloe and Thomas, who are very kindly sharing with us their darling The Hackney Co wedding in London. I just LOVE their sweet city nuptials, which were super personal, romantic and filled with fun.
A modern theme was the order of the day, complete with Spring florals, pastel tones and some wonderful DIY touches. There is so much to enjoy about their celebrations, the stylish attire, the confetti moment, the stunning tablescapes and the flower petal cakes to name just a few. Wow!
Thanks ever so much to Grace Pham Photography for sharing with us these sublime images.

We were on a trip to the Scottish Highlands just after the first lockdown. We stayed in a cabin on the North West coast near Lochinver.
On the 4th November 2020, Tom drove us to a secluded beach on the coast. We hiked along the river, up a gorge and across stepping stones until we reached a waterfall. There was no one around, and I later found out the ring almost slipped out of Tom’s pocket into the river! I turned around on one of the stepping stones and he was down on one (rather wet) knee! It was an easy yes.

We were keen on having personal touches. Tom wanted a non-religious Chapel, and I didn’t mind either way. We wanted a venue that felt like ‘us’: modern, alternative (we held our reception in a coffee shop after all!), relaxed but special with luxury touches.
We let go of a few traditions e.g. bridesmaids wore their own dresses, we got ready at home, we made the cake/flowers/stationery/veil ourselves.

I’d already been dress shopping and had several fittings with different boutiques, but nothing felt quite right. I often came away feeling pressured and like the dress was wearing me (not the other way around). Too much lace, too much fluff, too many details.
I came across Sabina Motasmem on Google and her dress styles were exactly what I was looking for. Simple luxurious silk, form-fitting without much fuss. Beautiful and timeless. I put on my dress in her September 2023 sample sale and immediately knew it was the one. I loved the low back, the luxurious silk, the long train. I felt like the best version of me.
I got the dress altered at Exclusive Alterations and added some detachable sleeves to create a different feel between the day and evening. My shoes I found online – I knew I wanted something bold and found the perfect light blue shoes to match my style for the day. The guests loved them!
I had very little knowledge of buying suits but wanted to look stylish and feel comfortable. I loved testing the different fabrics and being measured up – I liked that I was designing and building a unique suit for myself and our wedding.
I decided to get a 3-piece suit with a bold pink lining so I could take off the suit jacket to have a different look for the evening. I also got the date monogrammed. Much to my then fiance’s disdain, we spent over an hour in Loake Spitafields whilst I tried on every shoe, eventually settling on an Oxford with broguing.

Our ceremony was short and sweet. We originally wanted to hire a duo, however, Chloe had always loved ‘Spring Recomposed by Max Richter’ which could only be played by a quartet. The quartet played this during the procession.
We had ‘Arrival of the birds’ for our signing and ‘Canon in D’ for the exit.

Minimoon in the Cotswolds. Honeymoon in September – Bali & Sumba, Indonesia.

Getting ready, ceremony procession/first look, confetti, ice cream station, speeches.

Enjoy the day as much as you can, personal touches were most memorable for us, ensure the wedding feels like you as a couple.
Go against the grain and do what you like – it’s your wedding!

How utterly beautiful!
