Hannah and Fabio planned their wedding alongside launching their new business Fabio’s Gelato Hitchin, which was no mean feat. I love that they sourced many of their suppliers from the pretty market town, it made for a really personal and local day. They were married in a church ceremony on 29th August 2015 and hosted their reception on the family farm in a pretty marquee.
I love the pastel colour scheme, with lush florals and bridesmaids in blue. There was also a subtle travel theme running through their décor, an amazing sweetie table and of course gelato for their guests in the evening. The marshmallow cakes looked amazing while the Fiat 500 was the sweetest little wedding car ever.
Hannah chose to wear Maggie Sottero Patience while Fabio went for a Topman suit and quirky bow tie combo. Awesome.
Huge thanks today to the fabulous Supplier Love member Sharon Cooper for sharing these marvellous images.

THE PROPOSAL | In Rome September 2014 🙂 down on one knee.
THE VISION | Vintage Traveller with English Garden Tones.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | Hannah planned what she and Fabio wanted in terms of food, marquee, location, church and flowers but due to opening our Gelato business (Fabio’s Gelato Hitchin) a few weeks before we got married, we were so overwhelmed with the planning (170 guests!) and were very lucky to be introduced to wedding and events coordinators Holly & Holly (Stefanie Gaglio & Nicci Holliday) who discussed with us our ideas and made it happen, we used Pinterest for a lot of ideas and inspiration as well as places we had been on our travels, we wanted our wedding to be relaxed and playful.
BUDGET | I lost count towards the end but it was around 14k.
THE VENUE | St Ippolyts Church, then on to Oakhurst Farm (Family Home). Reception drinks on the lawn then onto the field for a marquee reception.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Bridal gown – Maggie Sottero Patience for the dress from Morgan Davies Hitchin, as well as the hair comb, Shoes BHS.
FINDING THE DRESS | Kept it local and was lucky to find the one after trying on a few dresses, Hannah wanted something comfortable and elegant to suit her small 5ft1 frame.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Suit and waistcoat from Topman, bow tie from “The Tie Bar” online American specialist bow tie boutique, Brown Brogues from BHS.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | Bride entered to Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and exited to the church bells ringing. Reading written by Fabio’s sister and Hannah’s Mum read one Corinthians.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Gemma Vincenti & Rosie King, the two unmarried sisters – (Hannah is one of seven!)
THE FLOWERS | Bridal – The Town Garden Hitchin, Centre pieces – Stephanie Rose Hitchin.
THE CAKE | Choccywoccydoodah marshmallow tower cakes, one chocolate, one amaretto and one ginger flavour, and solid white chocolate birds.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | The amazing Sharon Cooper.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Holly & Holly planners sourced and made all the decorations, they also hand infused 170 bottles of oil with rosemary and thyme from Hannah’s parents garden for the table favours. Love letter props, garden games, bar lights, H&F initials and photo frames also supplied by Holly & Holly.
THE HONEYMOON | Hong Kong & Bali, December 2015.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | Our niece grabbing ALL the sweetie necklaces from the sweet cart and making a run for it, the speeches and the DJ joining in dancing with us at the end of the night and of course saying our vows to each other.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don’t put too much pressure on yourselves to speak to everyone or to make sure everything is perfect, concentrate on yourselves and having a brilliant memorable time, it’s your day!!
