Tropical Boho Countryside Wedding Ideas

We’re upping the pretty stakes today with these boho wedding ideas filled to the very brim with so many inspirational details, gorgeous styling and sublime photography by Sarah Brookes. The vision was clear for the talented team; English countryside meets Ibiza bohemian vibes, all inspired by the Lattenbury Hill Weddings venue in Cambridgeshire. The open sided marquee tent looked so beautiful in the scenic grounds and was adorned with tropical touches that made me dream of breezy destinations; think palm leaves, peacock chairs, macrame, pampas grass, shells and fruit to name a few.

Be sure too look out for stylish bride and groom looks, a scrumptious looking ombre semi naked cake and a statement floral backdrop. I think you’ll want to pin it all. Let me leave you with this fun and vibrant film by Hushabye Films before you revel in the wonderful photographs.

English Countryside meets Ibiza Boho Wedding Ideas

Jade, of Hushabye Films, continued with the Ibiza/boho theme in her film, giving her shots a dreamy edit cut to music that makes you think of faraway shores and long, golden days lounging into the sun with your true love. Luckily the weather was on our side and the dappled sunlight and weeping willows blowing gently in the wind only added the dream like quality of the film

The stunning Lattenbury Hill Weddings opened its doors to couples this time last year and has inspired so many brides and grooms when it came to finding their perfect venue. This coincided with the arrival of a new beautiful bell tent from Fairytale Marquees! The shoot was very much inspired by the shape of the marquee with its open sides and sloping roof, I could picture it on a sandy beach for an Ibiza wedding. The suppliers were given the challenge of combining the English countryside aspects with boho Ibiza styling and they did a superb job! The dresses supplied by Jo at Woburn Bridal featured a crop top and skirt by BowenDryden which suited the theme so well with the delicate floral beading and long floating skirt. The second dress designed by Catriona Garforth Bridal featured a dress with hot pants which would be perfect for long romantic walks on the beach for photographs as the sun sets! The headpiece was by Kelly Spence and the shoes by Florence. The groomswear from The Vintage Suit Hire Company featured the brown worsted wool Burford suit, mixing stripped-back groomswear style with pastel neckwear, along with a boho and natural palette perfect for relaxed outdoor celebrations.

The florals were provided by Becky of Florae Foray and feature palms indicative of the hotter climate of Ibiza! She included Rosemary and Pistache foliage both native and abundant in Ibiza and Eustoma blooms which were reminiscent of the Rododendrons and Hibiscus that colour the landscape.

The breath-taking loose curls were done by Ashley Kay Gifford and the sea breeze would only add to the beach waves texture and looked better and better as the Cambridgeshire winds picked up. The make up was full of shimmer and bronze by the wonderful Kate of FlashKate who applied a lipstick that reminded me so much of the beautiful coral pearlescent inside of a seashell.

Styling by Hall & Co Event Design was boho inspired with a beachy twist with pebbles, seashells and hand made rattan baskets. Jo offered her expert macramé skills for the sweetheart table which was surrounded by the floral arch. What a romantic place to dine over your first meal as husband and wife. The cake sat beautifully in the middle of the beach picnic site and was surrounded in fruit and luscious food. Jenni at Two Little Cats gave the classic semi naked cake a boho luxe makeover adding flashes of colour to the icing, gold leaf and using slices of lime instead of the usual berries.

As a natural light wedding photographer, I love photographing at Lattenbury Hill! There are many nooks and special places for the couple and I to take a break from the busy day and enjoy the quietness of the surrounding fields. The mottled light during the picnic offers real atmosphere to the images as well as the romantic moment of calm on the sweetheart swing next to the pond. Wedding heaven!
