Welcoming another Wednesday, the year has flown hasn’t it? I am loving the autumn weather and all of the gorgeous summer weddings landing in my inbox right now. Happy dance. I was thrilled to to hear that Whimsical Wonderland Weddings was named the 4th top UK wedding blog again this year by Vuelio and I was interviewed by them in their blogger spotlight feature. I wrote a super fun article for Belle Bridal magazine this month and was also included in an article in Elle Decor online and Derbyshire Life Magazine. Yay.

Winter Wedding Top Tips

Its no secret that WWW Supplier Love member Rebecca Douglas loves to capture winter weddings and she has put together some hints and tips for couples marrying in winter months.

Plan for the worst case with weather, have umbrellas at the ready and just be ready to embrace whatever happens, laugh hard and remember that whatever the weather it is your wedding day and it will weave in to tell your story.

Bring alternative footwear so if you do go outside you can walk for photos with ease and not worry about damaging your shoes.

Wrap up warm and have some extra layers to wrap up in when you’re outside to keep you cosy when moving around for photos and then be able to take them off.

Weave in seasonality to really reflected the cosy, rustic feeling that winter brings.

Check local events as it might just be something is happening that would make for epic photos, like Guy Fawkes or a Christmas Parade!

Trust your photographer and chase the light as sometimes opportunities shimmer and its worth making a dash outside between courses for some dreamy portraits!
