Whimsical Meets Elegant & Classic Wedding

We’re starting the week with this really rather wonderful wedding celebration, which is filled to the brim with love and romance. It doesn’t really get better than than does it?

WWW readers Jonny and Nadia were married on Monday 21st November 2016 at the stunning Le Petit Chateau in Northumberland. They had 19 weeks to plan the day of their dreams, as Jonny’s mum had terminal cancer. Their priorities of course were to tie the knot as soon as possible to ensure that their nearest and dearest were able to be there with them. Their wedding planning was a breeze, thanks to their out of season wedding date and fuss free attitude. It also helped that they chose some superb wedding suppliers including WWW faves Prezola, who supplied their guest list.

With a whimsical theme in mind, the couple styled their wedding with sublime abundant florals, stylish engraved wooden details and divine outfits. Nadia chose to wear a lace Benjamin Roberts dress accessorised with dreamy Christian Louboutin gold glitter heels, just wait until you see them! Jonny went for a navy tweed suit with orange colour pop accessories for a modern yet classic look. Amazing.

THE PROPOSAL | Paris! In my favourite restaurant Cafe Marly. I trained as a pastry chef in Paris and Cafe Marly was just a magical hangout for my friends and I. Somewhere where I had to introduce to Jonny!

THE VISION | Whimsical. No fuss. Elegant.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | RUSHED! Jonny’s mum had terminal cancer so we planned the whole thing in 19 weeks! All she wanted was to make the wedding but unfortunately passed 10 days after. Be it a Monday in November most suppliers were available. It was a breeze!

Veil lace was made from Jonny’s mums wedding dress.

Cartier love bracelet from my parents, as a gift on the morning of the wedding.

FINDING THE DRESS | First shop, 3rd dress I tried on! I was exceptionally lucky!

GROOM’S ATTIRE | Harris tweed suit from Walker and Slater in Edinburgh.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | Music was relaxed with jazz and acoustic vibes.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My two best friends one Canadian and one American, Hadley and Liberty. Dressed in grey maxi dresses.

THE FLOWERS | Bels Flowers.

THE CAKE | Me and my mum! We make a great team! She baked the cakes and I decorated them ! Chocolate with ganache and vanilla with a hint of lemon and buttercream. Sat on top of a slab of wood cut down by my husband! (He is a tree surgeon) so we all had a hand in it!

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | The rooms at Le Petit Chateau are so ornate already, little needed to be done to them! Beautiful flowers everywhere! Dusty pinks and whites.
