Tell couples about your experience and approach
For us we want to capture you, and keep posing to a minimum. Photography is my art and passion and I love to capture authentic moments that capture how you feel. Capturing raw emotions like these are what brings back feelings of the day that you can remember for years to come. There is nothing worse than smiley awkward poses that do not reflect you as a couple or remind you of how you were feeling during such a huge milestone.
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
It is important for me that my clients are comfortable with me. I am a very hyper chatty person who is always laughing and joking, this way we can skip the awkwardness. On your wedding day I slide into the background to capture real authentic moments while having a laugh with your guests through out the day so that they feel comfortable with me taking their photos. I am a big kid so I normally have a few bounces on the bouncy castle and a few games with the kids, this way I get a fun break and all while the kids getting to know me and this way I find I capture children much better as they have got to know me and feel a lot more relaxed allowing me to capture their character. Besides group shots and a few others everything is very natural. If you need any specific posed shots this is absolutely, I am here to capture your day so make sure to let your guests know I'm at their disposable.
What can couples do to get the most out of their wedding photography on the day?
When booked, please get in contact so we can have a video call meet each other on video and see if we both feel we are a good fit for the other. I want to make sure I am taking on someone I connect with so I can tell your story the best I can. If we do not connect and don't have ideas that fit the other then it just won't work. I want to be able to guarantee capturing your day perfectly and resonating with you both, if we do not have that connection I wouldn't feel comfortable taking on your day. Also up until the day of your wedding if you have any questions just ask us, we are happy to help where we can and guide. I make notes for what you are after so I can look back at the notes and make sure to tick as much off as possible. I want to build a relationship with the client where we feel comfortable with the other. I am capturing one of the biggest days of your life you are going to want someone you can feel fully comfortable with and trust or it will reflect in your photos and will not look as comfortable.
What are your artistic influences?
Story telling
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
Lapland. We went out to lapland for a week, the hired us to capture their holiday as well as their wedding. We went on the dog sleds, snowboarded, went to Santa's grotto and had fun. I got to have fun and be me while capturing their moments, then to the ice castle where they got married, it was just a dream. What I love about them is they put full trust in us, meaning they let us do whatever we wanted and they went with it while having fun doing it.
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
Authentic pure moments. How the couple looks at each other. Emotional guests. The look in the parents eyes as their daughter walks down the aisle. Friends laughing. The real stuff
Why should couples choose you as a photographer?
This job isn't a chore for me, this is a hobby I get paid for. It is my passion. Every day we are out creating content, learning new styles of editing and filming/photographing. So you know that what we give you will be created with love, passion and care. We are invested in you and your day and we are excited to be there.
What is the most important thing to you when you photograph weddings?
Getting the shots, capturing moments and keeping them frozen in time. Authenticity
Which venues have you shot at?
Weston Manor Hotel
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
It's important to know I am very bubbly and you need to be happy with me being chatty with your friends, family and having fun with the kids. My job is my passion so I make sure to have fun at weddings to keep the excitement and love for my job alive, I love learning about your guests. Please do not book me if the day is a very strict serious day, I have had a wedding like this and I felt a part of my soul break because I couldn't be myself. I am very serious about making sure you get the shots you want and capturing your day perfectly but I have my own ways of doing it. HOWEVER if there is stuff specifically you are wanting please let me know. This is your day and I want to tell your story the best I can.
What is your bucket list for amazing venues you’d love to shoot at?
Too Many to choose from, we haven't done a forest wedding yet though, and I feel that would be incredible!
