Hi I am Ali and I own Garter Wedding photography. I have been established now for over 13 years in London. I am influenced by Fashion Photography as it was my degree and I have several years of experience in both fashion and wedding photography. I love telling the story of your wedding day using an unobtrusive and natural style. I am is based in Dartford, Zone 6 London but I travel throughout the UK and abroad capturing those special memories of the big day.

Tell couples about your experience and approach
After shooting over 80 weddings both within the UK and abroad I like to tell the entire story of your big day capturing all the details in a natural, unobtrusive style. This way I can capture the atmosphere, and emotions that make each wedding unique and special. I want to be able to highlight the emotional aspects of the day, capturing the love, joy, and excitement shared by you the couple and your loved ones. I always like to suggest we capture group shots as well. Therefore you have memories of everyone on your big day as well as a wider range of images for you to treasure.  All the edited images are in both colour and black and white so you can choose which you think looks best for you.
Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
On your big day I like to consider myself to be friendly and accommodating to what you the special couple require all whilst being as subtle as possible in capturing and detailing the memories throughout the day.
What can couples do to get the most out of their wedding photography on the day?
It is a good idea to assign someone such as the best man or Bridesmaids etc to help out with various tasks and especially when it comes to helping the photographer gather certain family and friends for the group shots, as they know them best. This makes things go smoothly and alot more quickly.
What are your artistic influences?
I studied fashion with photography along with art and design and I like to incorrupt that style within my photography. I love to shoot mostly natural daylight but I also use flash.
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
It's so hard to decide what is my favourite wedding shot. I think one of my many favourite wedding shots is when my clients several years ago made sure their dog was one of their ushers at their wedding. The fact I love animals and also my obsession with dogs made it even more unique as at the time not many couples included their fur baby in their big day especially in the Church ceremony.
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
I like to capture the details of the day and special moments telling the story of the day from the prep images to you and your guests having fun at the reception.
Why should couples choose you as a photographer?
I think my creativity, experience, passion, friendliness and dedication allows me to produce a beautiful detailed collection of photographs that you will cherish forever. As well as contributing to an enjoyable and stress-free wedding experience for you both.
What is the most important thing to you when you photograph weddings?
Making sure that the couple are stress free and having fun so both can enjoy your day as well as allowing me to capture all the details with ease.
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
I can bring a unique artistic perspective to your photos, making them stand out and reflect your personalities both individually and as the happy couple.
