Are you super chatty or will be you be a fly on the wall?
Fly on the wall. I don't like my couples to have to worry about me or what I'm doing on their special day.
What can couples do to get the most out of their wedding photography on the day?
Be themselves. Enjoy the day and take plenty of photos.
What are your artistic influences?
That's such a tough question! I love keeping up with trends and therefore follow a number of professional photographers, amateur photographers and even just artists whose style I think works with my taste. I also like to incorporate the character of my couples so the final photos match their style.
What was your favourite wedding shoot, and why?
I shot a recent wedding at the Scottish Borders. The venue was quirky and fun and the couple were so relaxed and open to anything. We even had chickens roaming around that wanted to be part of the group photos!
What kinds of moments are you looking to capture?
Genuine, Happy and un-staged. I want the photos to look 'real' and not just a checklist of poses.
Why should couples choose you as a photographer?
I'm flexible, approachable and open to collaboration. If the couple want to do a champagne popping moment, or run along a beach, I always aim to say "yes!"
Have you won awards or been published in magazines?
Yes, regional wedding photographer of the year 2022
What is the most important thing to you when you photograph weddings?
That memories are captured and that I don't miss anything.
Which venues have you shot at?
Branxholme Park,
Cambo Estate,
Deer Park
What's the most important thing couples should know about you before they book?
That I only book one wedding per day. Whether it's a 1-hour elopement or an all day wedding.
What is your bucket list for amazing venues you’d love to shoot at?
Probably in the mountains or a castle in Scotland somewhere
