Introducing Amelia and Sam and their glorious 10-11 Carlton House Terrace wedding in central London. I really love their approach to wedding planning after rearranging three times, which was to focus on bringing together their loved ones. With good food, good music and drinks of course!
They kept their decor really pared back which allowed their venue to shine. But they did add some lovely touches, think navy bridesmaid dresses, pretty blooms and botanical stationery. It also goes without saying that Amelia and Sam both looked amazing and I also spied some lovely shoes by WWW wedding supplier Rainbow Club. Yay!
Sit back and take in these divine images by Grace Pham Photography. Big thanks to Grace for sharing them with us.

We had just arrived in New York in August 2019 and were getting ready in our hotel room to go out and explore the city. Sam casually told me there was something in his washbag for me… I went to get it and then he proposed. It was great to do at the start of the trip so we could spend the rest of the time celebrating and getting excited for the wedding.
Having rearranged the wedding 3 times due to Covid-19 our vision was just really to have all of our friends and family together in one place and to celebrate and have a good time! We knew we wanted a London wedding having lived here together for 10 years. We didn’t want anything to feel too serious or formal and wanted to spend money on the things that we cared about – good food, good music and drinks.

Wow! 10-11 Carlton House Terrace was such a hidden gem! You can’t get more central in London but it was somehow so quiet, and it’s such an incredibly beautiful venue we didn’t have to spend any money on decorations. The people were absolutely incredible – we felt in very safe hands the whole way through.
Amelia – Bought a Mori Lee (Madeline Gardner) wedding dress when I was back in my home town for the weekend. It also happened to be in the sale which was lucky too!
Sam – Wanted a suit that could be worn again, and went for one from Reiss (that was tailored), a Liberty print tie and shoes from Loake.

The ceremony was in the music room of the venue. Our friend Milly from university sang ‘Ingrid Michaelson- The Way I Am’ as I walked down the aisle. Sam and I couldn’t stop smiling the whole way through, and there was a lot of cheering and clapping when we made it official. Seeing a full room of people (yet alone our favourite people) was amazing after the last few years too.
Grace Pham Photography – Grace was AMAZING. We loved her informal, beautiful style and she made us feel so comfortable. The photos captured every feeling from the day. We didn’t want to spend loads of time away from the wedding taking lots of formal photos, but did nip out after dinner for some photos at dusk just the 2 of us and we loved the results in such a great light with such a London-looking background.

Every room in the venue was so beautiful we didn’t need much decoration. We didn’t really choose a colour theme but in the end there was a lot of navy and pinks/greens/whites.
Flowers – Grace & Thorn’s ‘ready to wear’ flowers and they were even more amazing than we expected.
Cake – Waitrose, with some added fruit and flowers from the venue.
Table plan/place names/menus – Papier.

We had a lovely trip to Malta for 10 days, but hope to go on our originally planned honeymoon (Kenya and Zanzibar) one day.
Don’t stress about anything going wrong. Nothing really can – as long as you get everyone together and actually get married you’ll have an amazing time.
If you know you want a certain tpye of wedding, go for it! For us, it was SO worth the wait and stress of rearranging it multiple times. The wedding just wouldn’t have been the same if we had to have a small one during lockdown with no dancing etc.
Amelia and Sam I can’t thank you enough for sharing your gorgeous 10-11 Carlton House Terrace wedding with us. So beautiful.
