Wedding first dance songs can be so very important. Why? Well, your wedding music has to be one of the most significant elements of your wedding day. Most live wedding bands will commit to learning a first dance song especially for you if it’s not already in the repertoire, and of course a wedding DJ will be able to find almost anything, no matter how obscure.
Your song choice sets the tone, creating an atmosphere and trapping memories into a song forever. This is why I am sharing 199 romantic wedding song ideas for your day. Plus I’ll be sharing answers to some first dance FAQ at the end!
Choosing your first dance song is incredibly personal, so I wanted to share some first dance song ideas to get your musical creative juices flowing.
I have below 199 of the best first dance songs, all chosen by couples in real wedding features. This list of songs are different, both in rhythm and style.
Your track could be formal, casual, slow and romantic or fun and energetic. You could have your first dance alone as a couple or invite your guests to join in. You could even have more than one song. Some couples have a mash-up, starting with a ballad before mixing things up with an upbeat track. There really are no rules.
