Boy oh boy, have I got a romantic wedding to start off your weekend! Kathleen and Alex, who met in university and eventually “became best friends”, got hitched on the 27th of September 2015 in Pennsylvania. Their day was a little bit rustic, a little bit bohemian, a lot outdoorsy and completely superb. They wanted their individual personalities, as well as their connection as a couple, to be reflected and I think we can safely say they achieved this.
The stunning outdoor location at Hedge Estate, as well as the bridal party’s sophisticated attire (most especially the beautiful bride and handsome groom) and colourful florals all worked together to create a very personalised and picture-perfect theme.
Kathleen’s words about her new husband epitomise just what love should be like. What a lucky and loving pair. “To be able to find that piece of yourself that compliments the other so perfectly and seamlessly is a blessing we are so lucky to have found in one another.” Adorable.
Thank you so much to Tyler Boye Photography for these great images.

FROM THE BRIDE | Alex and I met while attending William Paterson University in 2004. We became the best of friends in our Environmental Science class, becoming inseparable those next few months. After the fall semester ended – we lost touch, and because I’m four years older than Alex, our paths never crossed again in classes or on campus. That’s when the beauty of Facebook comes into play. We had become friends on Facebook back when we first met, and as soon as we discovered we were both single at the same time, we immediately messaged each other to meet up. From that night in 2007 and beyond, we have been on an amazing journey with each other through life’s twists and turns. We have the most incredible time together – laughing sometimes so hard we can’t even catch our breath. To be able to find that piece of yourself that compliments the other so perfectly and seamlessly is a blessing we are so lucky to have found in one another. Alex and I enjoy the outdoors, spending most of our time hiking and living the “lake life” in Lake Hopatcong, NJ where we renovated the house my grandparents built with their bare hands. We are most often found in the woods with our Rhodesian Ridgeback, Remy, or out on the boat, fishing and speeding around on a wakeboard or slalom ski. Our goal for our wedding day was to let our personalities shine through – rustic and outdoorsy, with a hint of that bohemian, hippie charm that makes me who I am. The day was exactly how we had imagined it – laid back and relaxed filled with smiles and laughter while surrounded by our family and friends. It doesn’t get any better than that! We have both dedicated our lives to making each other happy – something I know that will last a lifetime and beyond.
