I really adore the juxtaposition of this stunning wedding ideas shoot captured sensationally by Leah Lombardi, which brings together two gorgeous styling concepts. And you know what? The dark, moody and atmospheric lighting is just perfect for the autumn season and is giving me all the feels today.
Greenery is the buzz word in the wedding world this year and it’s a trend that is here to stay. The team behind these inspirational ideas wanted to bring the trend to the city and the contrast is just so striking. Industrial Manchester certainly suits the foliage laden bouquets and paired back touches using natural materials. Modern geometric shape and whimsical stationery really bring a contemporary feel alongside the delicious buttercream cake and luxe sequin gown. Oh my.
“Greenery runs the show this year from the moment Pantone named it colour of 2017. Greenery can take on many different looks and we asked ourselves - how can we make it relevant to the setting we’re in? How can we make Greenery relevant in a city that has a strong industrial past? The challenge was to weave both to create a harmonious picture.
Its inspiration was as simple as stripping back on the noise that surrounds us everyday, allowing every element of the shoot to shine. The menu shouts Manchester in its hexagonal shape. The textured paper and black foil, which the words are printed in prompt the appreciation of subtlety, something we struggle to notice these days. The shoot overall was a balancing act. Nature and the city scape.”
