As Spring turns to Summer, we have the utter pleasure of sharing with you these beautiful wedding ideas courtesy of Hayley Baxter Photography and Natasha Jane Events, set at the stunning Blossom Barn.
Pastel colours were infused into the bright flower arrangements, which featured Tulips and Roses, nestled beside an array of other flowers and greenery. The flowers were raised above the main tablescape onto a suspended swing for real wow factor and it became the perfect table for the pretty cake too.
Other highlights from these wonderfully inspiring images have to be the brilliant fashion choices, the fabulous bridal hair and make up, the divine stationery and the superb table set up. There were even super trendy sharing platters demonstrating just how creative wedding food can be. I’d really recommend watching the stunning film by Applewood Wedding Films, which really captures the essence of this wonderful editorial.

Natasha from Natasha Jayne Events says:
The vision for today’s shoot was to capture the gorgeousness of Blossom Barn Weddings in Holmfirth at its best. We brought together the best in the business from stunning designer dresses to rustic scented florals all beautifully captured by Hayley Baxter Photography.
When choosing the florals I wanted to demonstrate to brides that it doesn’t matter what time of year you get married you can create something beautiful. I went with a pastel spring palette of blushes, pinks, lilacs and blues and included blooms such as muscari, tulips, astilbe, stocks and beautiful garden spray roses but to name a few all surrounded by lush foliage.
We created a swing design to hang from the beams in the barn to make a statement piece for the ceremony which could then be moved afterwards to dress the top table, I’m a great believer in reusing your wedding florals wherever possible to make the most of them and your budget, it also meant that the swing was left to take some gorgeous bridal shots.
For the table I designed a low line meadow of muscari, tulips, ranunculus, astilbe and spray roses finished with brass candlesticks and dinner candles to create that romantic feel to the tables, I felt these would work beautifully on the trestle tables in the tipi for the wedding breakfast, also because this is built into foam it means the wedding guests could take home all the florals after the wedding which again I’m a huge fan of.
We finished off with a gorgeous rustic bridal bouquet to match the other florals which smelt beautiful, I always feel that the brides bridal bouquet should be the nicest arrangement of blooms a bride ever buys and I not only want it to look really beautiful I want it to smell really beautiful too.

Hayley Baxter Photography says:
It was fantastic to work alongside a great team to create a beautiful fresh spring inspired shoot.
For me it was really important to work with a real couple to ensure we had natural chemistry to work with.Natasha did a fantastic job with the styling – installing a suspended swing alongside the most fragrant fresh blooms.
The Outside Kitchen created some lovely sharing platters – a real on trend way to eat at weddings and perfectly suited to the relaxed atmosphere of a rustic barn wedding.
I really hope the shoot helps to inspire some real couples for their own days!

Nicola from the Blossom Barn says:
Blossom Barn is a small but perfectly formed renovated barn venue in rural Holmfirth and this photo shoot was the ideal way to highlight what can be achieved for real wedding days with the right team on board. It was great to work with some new suppliers too, as a venue we want to be working with the best in the industry and this was the perfect way to see how talented and experienced these suppliers are. Letting my lovely pup Henry get in on the action was pretty cool too, he loved every minute of the attention!

Jamie from Muted Owl stationery says:
The wedding invitation gives guests a first glimpse of the look and feel of the wedding and so it is very important that the stationery reflects the style of the day. In keeping with the fresh spring floral theme, I supplied a floral headed/geometric style wedding invitation with matching menu detailing a sample wedding breakfast as well as Bride and Groom place cards. The minimalist yet sharp design emphasises the floral graphic of the stationery and the use of colour, lilac/lavender, along with a delicate typeface perfectly captures the season and ties in with the surrounding floral arrangements.

Anna at Anna Stephenson Hair & Makeup says:
I started the look off on Shannon with a statement lip and coppery eyeshadow, lashes to make her eyes stand out and framed them with winged liner and shading. Shannon had great skin so I enhanced the glow and added a natural wash of colour.
Hair was up to show off the dress with a vintage feel to it and a copper hair accessory added from The Little Pearl Bridal Boutique.
Throughout the day, I slightly changed the look up, by relaxing the hair and adding in plaits and real flowers and foliage, provided by Natasha Jane Events. I also softened down the lip colour to go with the romantic feel of the hair.

Diana from The Little Pearl Bridal Boutique says:
Stella York – this gown has a modern, boho chic feel, with delicate lace bodice, long sleeves and a statement v back. The lace insert in the train adds a little drama to the gown, giving a total wow moment as you walk down that aisle!
Dando London – an uber cool gown with a classic neckline and shape. This Devore style fabric gives this gown a beautiful full shape to the skirt, with that fringed back adding an element of boho chic.

Nicola from The Pretty Sugar Cake Company says:
I created a 4 tier cake in white and soft grey with a sweep of beautiful sugar blooms and foliage across the front in pretty pastel shades to coordinate with the fresh florals, finished with a delicate flowing silk ribbon.
