We’re headed to beautiful Lake Garda today, for Vy and Sanjay’s unforgettable and magical real wedding story. They chose to host their Lake Garda destination wedding at Scaliger Castle in Malcesine, followed by a reception at La Voglia on the 31st August 2019.

Vy and Sanjay’s wedding was understated and chic, the scenery really did the talking as the backdrop to their day. I adore the classic rose bouquet, that Reformation dress (swoon) and the breathtaking ceremony location. Vy and Sanjay both looked totally gorgeous and loved up too, I am sure you will agree.

I cannot thank Anthony Argentieri enough for sharing these sublime images with us, let’s be whisked off to beautiful Italy shall we?

The Proposal

Sanjay surprised Vy during vacation to Vietnam. We were exploring temples on a remote island in Ninh Binh and proposed in one of the ancient gardens.

The Vision

Sanjay has been to Lake Garda and has family in the region. The lake seemed like a perfect venue to combine the natural beauty and charm of the region with the romance of Italy and the set stage for a small wedding that all guests would enjoy. Finding malcesine and the castle was an added bonus.

The Planning Process

Picked out a date in the fall so that temperature would be comfortable for an outdoor wedding and so we and guests could enjoy outdoor activity and vacation. Looked up wedding and found “Lake Garda Weddings” that made it simple and customizable.
