If you are looking for cool and hip wedding inspiration then these campervan wedding ideas are sure to speak to your soul today. The talented Heather Sham and Hanh Made Films teamed up to bring this modern and free-spirited elopement editorial shoot to life, along with an amazing team of wedding suppliers. The orange, teal and yellow colour scheme is vibrant yet retro, with the stationery perfectly combining the hues. Then there was the simplistic cake decorated with beautiful natural elements and a hexagon flower arch of dreams.
The campervan took centre stage and it makes for the perfect getaway vehicle, imagine driving off on your honeymoon for a real adventure! Dancing in the rain in their beautiful outfits, real couple Ysabella and Alex look so stylish. What a feast for the eyes!

This is our fun, free-spirited elopement styled shoot featuring two vintage lace wedding dresses, campervan, and pops of colour which threads through the wedding cake, florals, stationery and suit! The main colours we chose were orange, teal and yellow, as we were inspired by this bright and fun combination.
We were very passionate to feature a diverse couple in our shoot! Our models, Ysabella and Alex, are a real engaged couple who got married 2 weeks after the shoot, so this was the beautiful pre-wedding shoot they dreamt of!
We feel our elopement shoot would inspire adventurous, wild and carefree lovers who appreciate the beauty of nature and an earthy yet modern colour palette.

Ysabella wore vintage lace dresses by Poppy Perspective, which featured beautiful lace details, tassels, a modest train and open back. We didn’t want anything too structured so these lace dresses were perfect for our free-spirited boho bride. These were paired with nude block heels for a relaxed look. We also styled a fedora hat from ASOS with dried flowers to add a rustic boho detail!
For the groom, we wanted him to pop so he wore a burnt orange slim suit jacket from Boohoo man. This added a hip vibe with his slim leg black trousers and white shirt. We also incorporated more rustic elements with Alex’s twine buttonhole.

Our private venue, Spirit Lake, was the perfect backdrop for the hex frame dressed with wild flower arrangements. The fresh flowers paired with ombre macramé completed our elopement setting by the lake. The cherry on the top for this shoot was the magical golden hour in the rain, in which Ysabella and Alex danced in! We then turned around to a gorgeous rainbow, which, to our couple was a symbol of God’s promises for their upcoming marriage.

I loved the concept of the free spirited styled shoot I got to be a part of! I wanted our beautiful, unstructured arrangements to have a lot of depth, and achieved that by incorporating many gorgeous textures and beautiful shades of our colour palette.
In terms of foliage, I used eucalyptus, ruscus and beautifully textured grevillea, which has warm, orangey tones, perfectly complementing our theme. For a pop of colour, I interspersed the greens with a beautiful variety of flowers including: orange pompom dahlia, white and red helichrysums, yellow pincushion protea, craspedia, blue globe thistle and orange roses. I also incorporated a touch of dried typha and bleached ruscus. For the bouquet, I featured some dried poppy heads!
To decorate our fedora hat, I used a variety of beautiful dried elements in neutral colours, including: natural and peach pampas grass, broom bloom, bunny tails, wheat and orange and yellow flowers.

I wanted to create a luxury, sustainable wedding cake for this shoot! All the ingredients used are sourced carefully to ensure minimum impact on people, animals and the environment, such as Fairtrade sugars, free-range local eggs, and organic butter.
For the design of this cake, I wanted to focus on natural (biodegradable, plastic and wire-free) decorations so I handpicked some locally grown pesticide-free flowers and dried flowers, which matched the florals used to dress the hex frame. I also topped the cake with some dehydrated oranges, fresh red berries, and meringue for a fresh and fruity look. The dripped caramel finished the cake off with a fun yet modern style!

To keep in line with the concept, I wanted to create a cool, funky, boho half up half down hairstyle. The braid I used is called a French double Chinese latter braid – sounds complicated, looks complicated but it’s such a simple, yet effective braid to create! The different colours in Ysabella’s hair gave the look dimension and was perfect with her long bouncy curls. A total bohemian babe!
Ysabella has the most beautiful, warm glowy skin so we kept the face makeup very natural and fresh and focused on enhancing the eyes. My go-to foundation to achieve this finish is MAC Face and Body. It’s light, but totally buildable and has a beautifully dewy finish. For the eyes I used pops of copper, burgundy and bronze using my Bobbi Brown Infra-Red palette and a small set of natural lashes to bring the eyes to life! For the lips I used a lipstick shade not too far off Ysabella’s natural colour and finished it with a Fenty lipgloss to give her that boho glow.

We thought that a campervan would best encapsulate this idea of a free-spirited elopement! Nathalie wanted to inspire couples to decorate and style the front of the campervan using fresh flowers, rather than the more popular choice of ribbons. Pushka the cream campervan is one of Nathalie’s oldest vans and looked beautiful parked by the lake!
Wilderness Prop Hire created a simple, organic table setup using some crates, a macramé runner, and a slab of log as a rustic cake stand. The bespoke stationery suite designed by Grania of Ink and Paper incorporated all of the bright tones we were inspired by! She used a bold, modern font debossed onto paper to create what she calls a ‘pillowy’ look! The custom stationery set was paired with some coloured envelopes and finished with her handwritten calligraphy.
