Hold on tight, you’re set to be wowed by these darling blue and yellow wedding ideas. Pretty as a picture and perfect for a summer wedding, this inspiration sent to me by Emily Collett Photography and Georgina Rose Events is stunning!
From the blue and yellow wildflower style florals to the picnic in the evening, macarons and gorgeous attire, you will love it all. Plus the beautiful wedding rings are supplied by WWW wedding supplier Molten Wedding Ring Company, which is lovely to see.
Be sure to take in all the lovely details; the beauty looks, the cake, the table set up and gorgeous stationery to name a few.
This shoot took place in the Cotswolds, at a beautiful venue called Oxleaze Barn. An idyllic secluded venue, perfect for a rustic barn feel wedding. The suppliers involved helped to create a beautiful wildflower inspo wedding, with ‘something blue’ being the main theme for the day. From the dresses, to stationery, decor, cake and more, the day was full of fun and laughter, which is exactly what a wedding day should be.

The day was styled by Etiquette Events, and co-ordinated by Georgina Rose Events, with a further team of wonderful creatives being involved too. We created an outdoor ceremony set up, complete with foliage moongate, an elegant wedding breakfast, detailed with macaron favours, finishing with an evening luxe picnic, set with grazing platters and scatter cushions. The perfect way to soak up the sunshine at the end of a glorious summer’s day.

This shoot was inspired simply by the beauty of the Cotswold countryside. Think blue skies as far as the eyes can see, honey coloured Cotswold stone, rolling hills, pretty picnics among dancing seasonal wildflowers, and the summer sun shining golden in the distance. A pictureperfect visual, providing us with our lively sky blue and sunshine yellow colour palette.

Our sky-blue colour palette also shaped a unique take on the ‘something blue’ tradition, with the ‘blue’ aspect being incorporated primarily throughout the wedding day set up and details, rather than just within the bridal details.

This inspirational shoot showcased:

As the sky clouded, and the soft rays of sunshine peaked through, we captured Kirstie and Connor at Oxleaze Barn. A laid back farm wedding venue on the outskirts of Oxfordshire.
The venue itself is located near the quaint village of Filkins. A beautifully restored Cotswold stone barn wedding venue, founded at the heart of the thriving family farm. Oxleaze oozes rustic charm with its many original features, including the 400-year-old wooden beams – just stunning. A striking space, with high beamed ceilings, flagstone floor, and statement fireplace. Teamed with beautifully landscaped courtyard gardens, perfect for diverse celebrations, including what our fabulous team of creatives had in store.
Oxleaze is a true hidden gem, highlighting the natural beauty that the Cotswolds has to offer!

The styling was bold yet respectful to the surroundings, aiming to radiate spirit and joy throughout each area. The quintessential Cotswold setting, mixed with Etiquette Events contemporary styling made a fun, colourful, easy-going yet intimate wedding set up. Just because you’re at a barn wedding venue, doesn’t mean it needs to be rustic in your décor style.

Gemma from The Lily Pad provided an abundance of fun floral arrangements, to create statement yet delicate displays, buttonhole and bouquet. Keeping things refined by using just three wildflower florals: Craspedia, Daisies and Delphiniums, with a less is more approach.
The wildflower mix created the foundations for the rest of the styling, by providing a fun, free flowing and relaxed visual. The florals also highlighted our bold colour palette, homing in on the yellow tones and something blues.

Wanting to create a luxurious cosy set up for late afternoon food and drinks, Etiquette Events opted for a garden picnic set up, positioned under the draping wisteria archway. Scattered with cushions, wildflowers, blankets and lanterns, topped with an indulgent grazing platter from Wild and Brie, bringing alfresco Spanish vibes to our very rural setting.

Emma at beautie_uk handmade Connor’s tie and bowtie in her Cotswold studio, using stunning iconic liberty London fabrics, complimenting his blue suit from Country Master Tailor.

The layered tulle gowns were perfect for brides who are looking for something lightweight yet glamorous, making each a great selection for an alfresco wedding. Nothing too fussy, with the selected medley of show stopping dresses from Sophie Wynne Owen Couture having floral details, which also tied in perfectly with the setting and theme.
Each were accessorised with handmade jewellery by Erin Cox Jewellery, along with handmade recycled metal rings from her sister company Molten Wedding Rings.

MUA Gen finished off each look with radiant, natural makeup, to compliment hair stylist Juta’s undone textured bun, as well as and half up half down look.
