Traditional & Simple Sage Green & Pink Holkham Hall Wedd

Welcome to the traditional and simple Holkham Hall wedding of Lottie and Rory in Norfolk. Their day was utterly stunning, with a church ceremony and a luxe reception at Holkham Hall.

They opted for a sage green and pink colour scheme, with plenty of greenery and simple signage. There was a grazing dessert table, a striking gown with a long train, dapper suits and a lot of smiles all round. Such a glamorous yet timeless Spring celebration, swoon!

The Proposal

On Saturday 22nd February 2020 on Wells beach, Norfolk in the pouring rain. We pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves.

A traditional English wedding in the beautiful Holkham Hall with a vision of sage green, pale pink and ivory flowers.

Your Outfits

Bride: Enzoani dress from Blush Bridal Ely with the detachable skirt meaning I was able to have a daytime look for the ceremony and Marble Hall and then for the evening I took the skirt off and had more of a figure-hugging lace dress for the evening so I could dance!

This was not my first choice of dress and nothing I would have usually gone for but from the brilliant advice in the bridal shop I tried it on and fell in love with it.

Groom: Navy blue Thom Sweeney suits from Saville Row, London. Rory was looking for a slick Italian-style suit.

The Styling & Decor

Our overall theme was the delicate sage green which was worn by the bridesmaids and used for the greenery and eucalyptus in our flowers. We then went for soft pale pink and ivory flowers with a range of vintage-style roses.

Our cake was a three-tiered square cake with gold stands in between each section of the cake decorated with flowers throughout. For our signs, we used a sage green times new roman font which was kept the same throughout for all of our signs and table plans giving that traditional simplistic look.

We also had hand-drawn images of St. Withburga church and Holkham Hall on our stationery which was drawn by one of my students at school.

The Honeymoon

Kenya for a safari then Tanzania for the luxury beaches, relaxation and spa.

Memorable Moments

Walking into the Marble Hall just the two of us once married with the Piano playing in the background. And then walking into the Saloon knowing that we were finally married and just having a moment to the two of us taking it all in.

Advice For Other Couples

Don’t stress whilst planning as everything will fall into place.

If you are booking with a venue they are unbelievably helpful and help you liaise and communicate with suppliers which is the biggest job! As long as you have your vision they will make it come true which is more than I could have ever wished for.

Also, make sure you brief your ushers and master of ceremonies with what you want them to do! Sometimes the bridesmaids have to take over!
