We’re jetting off to beautiful Mexico for Paige and Harry’s Akiin Tulum wedding. Their vision of a barefoot wedding on the beach certainly came to life. They had a weekend to remember with stunning sea views, bright sunshine and smiles all round.
They had their entire day outdoors including a stunning reception tablescape with festoon lights hung above. Another big feature was their florals which featured white flowers and dried palms for a really modern feel.
I just love their stylish outfits, the elegant place settings and the magical first dance moment. Oh my.
Thanks ever so much to Kape Photography for kindly sharing with us these tremendous images of a really wonderful celebration.

Harry proposed on a secluded beach in Samana in the Dominican Republic.
On the flight over, as we were filling out our immigration paperwork to get into the Dominican Republic, I took a peek over his shoulder to see if he was going to be declaring any “high-value items” … he very blatantly checked “no”, as I was obviously less discrete than I thought!
It wasn’t until the day before we left our 12-day trip traveling around the island that he finally took me by surprise and got down on one knee. He had carried the ring throughout our trip in a sock and even left it unattended while we took a walk on the beach!

My dream was to have a barefoot wedding on the beach. I heard about Tulum through a friend and was instantly captivated by the eclectic feel and beautiful beaches.

We couldn’t think of another place than Akiin to showcase the nature and Tulum vibes.

My dress was from Willowby by Watters. I decided to go on a bohemian dress with a unique pattern.

As for the decor, we wanted to catch the Tulum vibe but add our own personal spin.

We waited to travel because we are waiting for our baby!

The ceremony was filled with emotions. I loved how the photos turned out with all our bridal party in front. It was a memorable moment for us!

Getting ready on my wedding day was like a highlight reel of all the best parts of my life to that point… singing at the top of my lungs with my best friends, a hug from my dad while he told me how happy he was for the next chapter, my older sister helping me finish my vows, and of course, running behind schedule 🙂

Planning a wedding for 100+ people is no small task, so we set out to find the help of a wedding planner. Finding our team at Mango was a godsend! They found the best vendors, kept us on track and made sure our wedding weekend went flawlessly.

Didn’t their day look like a dream come true?
Paige and Harry, I can’t thank you enough for sharing with us your incredible Akiin Tulum wedding story.
