Traditionally during different seasons, you may feel that there are certain colours you should be opting for. But – it’s just colour, isn’t it? You don’t need to have colours that ‘match’ your wedding season.
If you love dark moody hues and want to them within your spring wedding, you bloody well go diving in. Although, if you do want a traditional spring colour palette, that’s awesome.
You don’t need a colour scheme anyway. A lot of the real weddings I feature didn’t have a scheme or used a plethora of colours. So before you head to the colour ideas gallery below, think about whether a formal theme is right for your day.
If you choose one or two colours it will keep things simple during your planning. But you can mix a large number of different shades too. If you use a multitude of tones, consider one or two primary colours, then use the other shades for accents. Silvers, coppers, golds and brass shades are a great way to add an extra layer and they match almost all colours!
📌 Top Tip! You don't need to match your wedding colours precisely. Differing tones of the same colour can work perfectly together.
