Grab a brew and find a place to settle in for 10 minutes as you are going to want to take in every detail of these sensational Lancrigg wedding ideas. Behind the lens and the concept was the talented Olivia Weldon Photography who envisioned a summer countryside romance styled shoot, which was pulled off to perfection by the creative team.
I adore the swathes of pink and lilac blooms, the countryside views, stylish outfit choices, delicate stationery and the beauty looks. Oh my.
That’s my cue to leave you to take in all the inspiration below. Enjoy!

Nestled amidst the dramatic fells of the Lake District lies the stunning Lancrigg Estate. As soon as I came across it, I just knew that I had to organise a shoot there! I gathered together a team of wonderful suppliers to bring my vision of a fresh, elegant take on a summer countryside romance to life.

The styling was a floral masterclass in modern romance. The tablescape featured rustic wooden surfaces adorned with pastel candles, gold details, and lush floral arrangements, creating an intimate dining experience.

A tower of champagne coupes, tied with delicate purple ribbons, added a touch of glamour, while handmade invitations with gold accents and pearl-adorned accessories hinted at a luxurious feel.

From the bridal bouquet bursting with English garden flowers to the sprigs of lavender in the champagne, every element was thoughtfully curated to evoke a sense of whimsical romance.
Our bride wore a gorgeous A-line dress made from crepe and lace fabric with detachable straps. The dress was a perfect match for the beautifully handcrafted pearl earrings and hair accessories.

The hair and makeup were styled masterfully to create a blend of natural beauty and refined glamour – with slicked-back hair, a luminous base, sweeps of pink on the cheeks and lips, and a soft, bright eyeshadow to really make the eyes pop.

Our groom wore the on-trend Tropez pale pink suit by House of Cavani, finished off with a floral tie, bright ranunculus buttonhole, and stylish watch.
We began our portraits with the bride and groom stealing tender moments beneath a floral arch. This was adorned with an abundance of white, soft pink, and lavender blooms, a perfect reflection of the shoot’s colourful yet delicate palette.

The outdoor setting, with its sweeping views of the surrounding fells, is mirrored in the stone walls of the wedding barn, which frame the beautifully set tablescape and blend seamlessly with the landscape.

For our couples portraits, we headed outside in the rain (because nothing screams “British summer wedding” like unpredictable weather!) and captured some of the most dreamy, romantic shots amidst the misty landscape, with our gorgeous florals and the façade of the Lancrigg country house adding some generous pops of colour.

This shoot is a testament to the beauty of blending modern elegance with the wild, untamed beauty of the countryside. It’s an inspiration for couples seeking a wedding that feels both luxurious and deeply rooted in nature. The Lake District’s majestic scenery provided the perfect canvas, proving that love, when styled with care, can transform any setting into a fairy tale.

A heartfelt thank you to the talented team behind this shoot, whose creativity and thoughtfulness brought this beautiful concept to life.
