Beautiful Summer in Provence Seasonal Flower Wedding Ideas

Rebecca Eyre the florist behind Ivy Pip & Rose wanted to create a shoot with a dreamy summer in Provence feel. The seasonal floral displays are striking and so very inspirational. These really are ideas to be treasured and shared.

My inspiration for the shoot was early summer in Provence. Lavender and peonies were in full swing at the flower market in New Covent Garden and there is something very special about working with what is in season and from what could be gathered from a garden.

I imagine that garden to be sun dappled with thoughtful flowerbeds and nothing too precise.

The small bunches of rosemary, blackberries and lavender tied with decorative string or ribbon could easily be adapted to include a tag for place names, to decorate a place setting or even a rustic boutonnière.

The star of the show in the large vase are the sweetpeas and all those tendrils but I love the pops of colour from the vibrant dahlias.

The bouquets and floral crown with peonies, lavender and olive leaves are simple arrangements. with more muted shades. Britt supplied the vintage 1980′s wedding dress, which is crisp, fresh and simple with the most amazing sleeves.

Britt’s photography itself is very special and she really knows what is needed to make the picture come alive.

The stationery was created by Pinar of CuriousMe Design using her letterpress machine with coppery metallic ink and hand illustrated envelopes in a calligraphy typography. The subtle coppery lettering is really beautiful.
