Bohemian Macramé Woodland Wedding Ideas

The woods always create such a special atmosphere for a wedding; magical, enchanting and filled with treats for all the senses. It’s no wonder it’s becoming a popular choice for stylish and nature loving couples, which is why I just love sharing weddings and editorials set in woodland. I can’t get enough of these bohemian wedding ideas, originally inspired by animal masks. Think macramé décor, rustic styling and a neutral colour palette.

WWW faves, Supplier Love members Cake Me By Surprise smashed it out of the park with their uber cool geometric cakes, the door backdrop is just perfect and that beaded dress has me all aflutter.

“Having worked with Samie Lee Photography before, she mentioned wanting to do a styled shoot involving animal masks and I was inspired. I adore Samie’s photography style and it was only right for us to work together on this shoot. We were inspired by a bohemian and natural vibe but stumbled across these beautifully angular and geometric woodland animal masks and a boho chic styled shoot was born.

The cakes were a mix of rustic geometric natural shapes and nude colourings.

Longton Wood in Kent was the perfect setting, it created a fantastic backdrop for the natural and romantic colours that were constant through the creation process, with its beautiful swing, rustic seating area and stunning woodland there was plenty to play with on the day!

We wanted to keep the palette natural and dusky with eucalyptus, soft pink ranunculus and roses by flower art. We added deep furs and candles simple ribbons and macramé to finish. All the wonderful props were by We Are Hire Love.

The bride wore two beautiful gowns from Village Brides by Eddy K Maraca that were a soft and romantic look with the groom in a rustic and woodland tweed 3 piece by Anthony Blay Menswear to match the scene.”
