Welcome to the gorgeous Brickhouse Vineyard wedding of Ben and Bryonne held in Devon. Sadly their original wedding date was cancelled due to COVID-19, but they were able to move their day to the 9th October 2020, where the sun shone down to create the most beautiful Autumn light.
What I love most about their day is how their son was so involved, from waiting at the top of the aisle to capturing a shot of them both just married, just so sweet. I also love the relaxed and intimate atmosphere, zero fuss, total love. Not to mention the gorgeous pampas grass flowers and the totally stylish outfits.
You can really feel the love in these images by Darina Stoda Photography. A massive thanks to Darina for sharing them with us. Enjoy this very precious story folks.

The proposal happened in the end on new years eve back in 2015 on Koh Samui beach Thailand under the firework display, I’d been plucking up the courage all day I was going to propose at the temple we visited earlier that day but the nerves got the better of me.
A few drinks later and a kick in the shin from her friend I got down on one knee, and the words “Bryonne Gill I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you will you… marry me.”
Was always to keep it small but to share it with the people who mattered most in our life. With the restrictions in place, it did make things a little easier with having to choose our 15 guests.

Brickhouse Vineyard in the heart of Devon, a stunning venue with views and just what we wanted for our intimate ceremony.

The ceremony itself felt very special and emotional because we had waited so long for our second wedding date. As we turned around it felt so unique with everyone wearing their mask as we couldn’t see everyone’s expression but they could see ours.
For music we mostly wanted acoustic.
I walked down the aisle to Billie Eilish – Ocean Eyes (because Ben’s eyes remind me of the ocean).

I bought my dress online from an American boutique called Lulus Weddings. I tried on my dress at home with my son at my side. I knew this was the dress when my 4-year-old son said “mummy you look beautiful“. I wanted to go for a vintage classy bohemian look, I never wanted just an all-white dress I wanted something more warming.
My veil was from Wed2B, I popped in on my lunch break one day. I never wanted a veil that touched the floor and one that wasn’t so short. I just knew I always wanted some sort of veil, lucky enough to have found in between. Passed down pearl earrings from my mother, which my sister also wore to her wedding. Necklace from and ring borrowed from my late nanny Gill.
Ben ordered his suit from ASOS online in fact, it was in the sale without him knowing I managed to colour coordinate with my dress.
We used a local seamstress.

Decorations were done by myself, I started collecting pampas from a local farm with permission. I brought the vases from IKEA and just generally picked them up from high street shops.
Flowers – by a friend Phoebe Piper (hobby)
Our theme – classy bohemian
Colours – Neutral
I did most of the decorations DIY myself. I like to think I have a creative side.

With restrictions in place we had to cancel our original honeymoon to Croatia. We then booked a last-minute hotel called Watergate Bay in Cornwall about 1h 30 minutes away from home for 2 nights. It was the most beautiful, welcoming laid back hotel we had ever been to. We had champagne on arrival, we had booked surf lessons, a back massage, swimming sessions and we also enjoyed the hot tub outside looking over the beautiful beach watching the sunset.
Finally walking down the aisle after all these years of being together.
Also, we went to the pub for food after the ceremony and the whole pub cheered for us as we walked in. It felt so special to us and I think it felt special to them just seeing us freshly wed in such hard times.
Take the time to figure out what you really want for your big day and make it about you and not others.
Don’t stress about money you can still have a beautiful wedding on a budget.
Have who mean most to you there on your big day.
