All the fun vibes today folks courtesy of Adam and Amanda’s Browsholme Hall wedding held in Lancashire on the 14th September 2019. Think cute alpaca and llama guests, quirky style and a lot of craftiness. Oh yes.
First up, I so love their style. Adam looked awesome in a green wool suit, with a fish print shirt and knitted bow tie. Meanwhile, Amanda wore a handmade dress in a beautiful green tone which was embellished in botanical adornment. They both looked so gorgeous! So much of their day was DIY or handmade, with fun signs, cute stationery and a stunning cake all making an appearance too.
Jules Fortune Photography thank you so much for sharing with us these amazing shots of a really fun and unique day.

Whilst opening an abundance of presents on valentines day (also the anniversary of when we met) I came across a glass bottle with a scroll inside, Adam said “I got you this instead of a card..”
I opened it and it read “To My Fiance on Valentine’s Day” then Adam said OOPS.. they must have sent the wrong one, and I was kind of half confused reading it… then he said only joking 🙂 and he then presented me with a ring in a shaky hand and popped the question! I was shocked and happy and said YESSSSSS!
We wanted something that reflected our interests, we both worked hard on planning what we wanted and making sure we both liked the choices we were making. I wanted to use my artistic/craft skills to make something unique and personal. We both have a love for nature and animals so that was definitely reflected in the theme, plus the llama and alpaca were the most well behaved guests!
Everything was natural, even down to selecting the exact wildflowers we wanted, we used tree stumps, vintage bird cages, and of course the venue itself was a stunning original barn with beautiful grounds, trees, rustic backdrops and picture postcard scenes in every direction.
The car we used was an original Californian VW camper van in a gorgeous green which fitted perfectly with our colour scheme, she was named Priscilla.
Browsholme Tithe Barn

We hired an acoustic duo, with the girl singing an array of relaxing songs, they did specially requested songs from us for walking down the aisle, the signing of the register and during the wedding breakfast.
We wanted it to be a peaceful, soothing atmosphere
In keeping with the barn and it’s natural beauty.

Adam – Skinny fit tweed wool green suit – Moss Bros
Shirt with vintage fish print- Simon Carter
Shoes – SOLE Leather brogues
Socks and Bowtie (Moss Bros) – Both mustard to add a pop of colour
A fox pin from etsy.
Amanda – My dress was completely handmade using various materials sourced from Etsy and other fabric shops, I had a vision of a very botanical styled dress, floral, and it was green. I didn’t want a white dress as I dislike white and wanted it to match our rustic earthy colour scheme.
I had a floral wire headpiece that really finished the outfit off.
Handmade shoes from a beautiful shoemaker on Etsy.
I had a puffy frilly underskirt to give my dress an extra swoosh.
My necklace was a Michael Michaud floral piece from his “inspired by nature” range, it was actually moulded using real flowers and leaves.
Bridesmaids – All had individual dresses with a purple/mauve colour scheme.

Julie Fortune – Superb photographer who let us be free with whatever we wanted to do, she really understood what we liked and was so easy to work with, made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the shoot.

Decorations – were very rustic, gorgeous green drapes on the chairs and lace drapes on the ceiling with fairy lights.
Cake – was a rustic naked cake, consisting of two tiers containing chocolate and vanilla, each layer decorated with a fine layer of buttercream, and draped in wildflowers. The cake was made by Adam’s sister.
Flowers – A selection of our favourite wildflowers in various jam jars, vintage crates, and open birdcages.
Mauves and greens were the colour scheme.
Needle felted Alpaca and Llama made by me.
Miniature scale model of the wedding van decorated in the same way as the real thing.
Signs – were a mixture of handmade ones from Etsy and then I made the table plan myself, it was a large birds nest with all the table layouts on different objects from nature.
We collected pinecones and sprayed them silver and made our own named place settings.
We got real dried flower confetti from Etsy.
The guestbook was also handmade, bought on Etsy.

Two amazing weeks in NYC! SHOPPING, EATING, EXPLORING THE CITY! It was fantastic!!! We didn’t want to leave. First big long holiday together abroad, as I am afraid of planes but bit the bullet for a very special occasion! Have now been converted and I’m desperate to return to the USA.
We had the best weather, lovely hotel, and managed to fill every day with a new activity. Loved every minute of it.
Everyone’s faces when they saw our VIP guests.
Toby the Llama and Gary the Alpaca!
Eating pizza from the stone baked oven outside was super yummy.
The photoshoot with sparklers was a lot of fun.
The photoshoot on the row boat was hilarious as neither of us knew how to row… we had to learn pretty quickly, and by ‘we’ I mean Adam.
Enjoy the planning, do what you WANT to do not what you think you HAVE to do, just be yourself and include the things that make you happy, it’s your special day, make it personal for you two and just have a great time!
