Ellie and Ben’s super dreamy Chateau de Siradan wedding in France has landed. Their day was elegant yet fun with the most beautiful style.
They had a really relaxed atmosphere, with a picturesque ceremony beneath a magnificent tree, dinner beside the chateau and an outdoor first dance surrounded by sparklers. Wow.
I adore the soft rose and toffee tones, the fresh blooms, the delicate stationery and of course the super stylish outfits. Their day looked and sounded like wedding heaven.
Thanks so much to Awardweddings for sharing with us these sensational images. Enjoy them all in full below!
Yes I have been following WWW during the planning. I love the variety of inspiration, gorgeous stylings that feel reachable. Often wedding blogs show things that are so expensive or out of reach and your blog is just more down to earth, it’s fantastic!

Ben had originally planned to propose on our first mini break as a family with our 6-month-old son in a tree house in Herefordshire.
However, the opportunity never arose and he therefore did it at home on bonfire night with the fireworks a few days later. It was just so wonderful and amazing!

Our main vision was understated elegance and an intimate summer wedding vibe and our planner helped us bring it to life.
The styling on the day was rustic chic and romantic with a colour palette of pink, rose, copper/rust, toffee, cream and peach. This came across in the bridesmaids’ dresses, the flowers and the stationery. We also mixed materials with cream linen and wooden furniture and decorations.
The ceremony took place under a very old cedar tree that brought a magical atmosphere. We draped it with a very long cream draping to add to the dramatic effect. We then had a semi-circle floral arch and flowers all along the aisle. We were able to reuse these arrangements at dinner and the party.
Dinner took place alongside the chateau overlooking the grounds. Decorations were minimalist with several French antique cut glass vases and candle holders.
The party took place in the chateau barn under magnificent chandeliers and candles.

We fell in love with this stunning chateau in the foothill of the Pyrenees, Chateau de Siradan. It’s a gorgeous newly renovated chateau with wide ground overlooking the mountain tops.

I wanted something that would suit my figure but also lightweight due to the heat and something that would suit the venue.
For Ben’s suit, we really wanted something lightweight and smart casual, the linen suit was always going to the best option for the groom and his best man.
For the bridesmaids, I’d always really liked the idea of having slightly different colours/tones but the same dress so that’s what I went for and had flowers to match the colours. I loved the colours as they were summery but a little more unusual.

We had a personal ceremony with a celebrant. I walked down the aisle on “Your Majesty” by Zac Brown and we both walked out on “On Top Of The World” by Imagine Dragons.
We then had a confetti line with the chateau background before moving to the cocktail reception.

We enjoyed canapes and drinks on the grounds by the pool to the sound of a live gypsy jazz duo.
We enjoyed an outdoor three-course meal of local organic French food. We started with shared platters of charcuterie, Mediterranean vegetables and breads. We then had Pyrenees lamb and local vegetables.
We finished dinner with a traditional French wedding cake: the croquembouche!
Later in the evening, we had a buffet of open sandwiches. Wines were local French wines.

Our photographer Mark was amazing and captured all the events, details and emotions of the day!
Him and our planner are a duo and they worked hand in hand all along to deliver and capture our day as we had dreamt of.

We chose to have a familymoon and made the most out of the south of France and north Spain. We went on a family road trip and did a lot of sightseeing along the way.
We also had a minimoon for just myself and Ben when we got home. We did 2 nights in an amazing spa hotel in the Lake District which was ultimate relaxation.

The entire day was just memorable! Seeing all our guests together, celebrating with us was so fantastic.
We also had a few moments just for the two of us, for example after the ceremony, our planner was waiting for us with a couple of glasses of champagne. Our couple shoot also enabled us to have a bit of time for us as well.

We kicked off the party with a first dance under the stars and sparklers! We then went inside the barn and partied in an intimate atmosphere of candles and chandeliers.

Make sure you take some time on the day and have some couple time. It was the best advice we received as it’s so easy to spend the whole day with guests. You can easily get to the end of the night and realise you’ve hardly seen each other.
Finally, if getting married abroad, use a wedding planner… they are the best!!! Our planner was Clémentine Ward, a local planner in the area. She accompanied us along the entire journey, provided local suppliers and made sure everything went smoothly to plan.

How very gorgeous!
Ellie and Ben, thank you both ever so much for sharing your incredible Chateau de Siradan wedding story with us.
